Elle hovered nearby to Reno and Kara, watching all of the patients. She spun around as the door opened. She smiled to Ayla as she walked inside. "Good afternoon." She looked at the clock. Half past twelve. So technically it was afternoon. "Hi Elle." She nodded to Elle, looking over to Reno. "He's fine." Elle told her, Ayla nodded again. "How was the meeting?" "Same as ever. Peter and Herutsu ripping each others throats out again." She shrugged. Ayla's eyes drifted over to Kara. She looked somewhat nervous. Her eyes showed both fear and confusion. As if she didn't know what to do about something. "I wish they could get along." Elle sighed. "You and I both know they never will." Ayla smirked. "Are you okay?" Elle asked Ayla, studying her. She could read people pretty well. She knew when something was wrong. Ayla nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine. I just, I came to talk to Kara." She said quetly. "About?" "It's kind of something I can only tell her." Ayla looked at the floor as she sat on one of the beds. "I understand." Elle nodded once. Then froze, Ayla sitting on the bed suddenly reminded her. "How are you? Have you fully recovered now?" "Yes." Ayla nodded. Her eyes did not leave the ground.

Kara had not noticed Ayla come in. She had been sat by Reno's bed for at least four hours now. It was probably longer but Cloud has managed to pull her away the previous day. If he hadn't she'd have been there all night. It seemed she was indeed the mother. She was talking quietly to Reno, because even though he was unconcious she believed strongly in unconcious people being able to hear people around them. "...and I bet you still remember the look on Tseng's face when he found out," she smiled slightly. "He wouldn't talk to us for weeks." She brushed a few hairs from her face. Her eyes dropped to the ground. "I'm sorry... I dwell on the past far too much." Kara sighed and looked at Reno's face, peacefully sleeping. The gash he'd had in his head was bandaged up, but she could still see the cuts and burns and the bloodstains on his t-shirt. "I've talked more than you when you're drunk. And that's saying something for me." She touched his hand lightly. It was cold. She remembered how she used to reach for his hand because of how warm it was.
Skarlia was lying on the bed when Axel came in. He smiled slightly at Skarlia but she immediately noticed the gash on Axel's arm. He wasn't wearing his cloak and it was easily visible. "What's that from?" She asked, pointing at the gash. Axel looked at it. "Ran into some trouble," he lied. "Not many people like me if you haven't noticed." Skarlia didn't ask again even if she knew there was more to it than that. She sat up as Axel sat down beside her. "So, have a good first mission?" Axel asked. "It was ok," Skarlia replied. "But that place, Eclipse Town. What is it?" "Well I guess you know it was my invention," Axel said. "If you mean to ask where the residents are, I'll just say the world was set up solely to hold hearts, experiments and anything else needed." Skarlia shuddered. Axel looked away. "You won't ever seen the people there. They opt to spend a lot of time indoors."

"Is what you wanted to talk to her about important?" Elle asked Ayla, who was watching Reno. Ayla looked up at her. "I guess." Yes. She closed her eyes and then looked back to Reno as she opened them again. "I told you he'll be fine." "You said that about me." Ayla said sarcastically. "You are aren't you? You were in twice as much danger of dying than he was and your still here." Elle snapped. Just. "I heard that." Ayla said dryly. Elle sighed, she'd forgotten about that. Ayla stood up and walked to the end of Reno's bed. "Come on lazy. Time to wake up, we all know what you're like for napping though." She laughed slightly. "Ayla." Elle said her name quietly, her voice worried. Ayla looked over her shoulder at her. "Kara has been in here for hours. Since Reno was brought here actually. She should go for a walk or something. I don't know how long it will be until he wakes up." Elle whispered. Ayla nodded. She walked behind Kara and put her hand on her sister's shoulder. "Hey there sis." She smiled kindly. "You can't stay here forever. Want to go for a walk. I promise Reno will be here when you come back." She laughed. Then smiled absently at Reno. He wasn't going anywhere soon. "You can't stay sat in here. God knows how long he'll be asleep. Elle will look after him. When we get back and you have some lunch, you can have all the one-way conversations you want with him."

Kara jumped as she saw Ayla. "Hey," she said quietly. "I guess so. It's actually quite enjoyable pouring all the things stuck in your mind out to someone who can't talk back about it. Though I bet he's wishing I'd shut up." She laughed slightly. There was a sort of emptiness in everything she was saying. "Sure, I'll come."
Axel lay on his back again, his hands behind his head, Skarlia lay beside him on her side with one hand on his chest. She always felt sort of comforted when she was like this. He was so warm and his aftershave smelt wonderful. It always made her feel sleepy. Axel was staring at the ceiling. He was in thought again. He had lost the chance to claim his heart because of Texaelle. At least one more was out of the picture. Still, no matter. He was harvesting many Heart Stones and soon he would have enough for his own heart. After that it should be simple enough to get hearts for the others.

"Good." Ayla smiled at her older sister, before looking over at Elle. "Look after him okay?" "That's what I'm here for." Elle smiled and nodded. Ayla stood up straight and walked to the door. "I need to talk to you Kara. It's nothing bad, I think, but it is important." Her voice and eyes had suddenly changed to the nervous atmosphere they had given when she first walked into the room.

"Oh ok," Kara nodded, following Ayla. "Go ahead, I'm all ears." She took a brief look at Reno before glancing back at Ayla.
Skarlia flinched slightly as a nightmare took hold of her. She had stayed awake all night to stop herself having one, but she ws still tired. Axel noticed her flinch and he sighed quietly. She seemed to clutch at Axel slightly, her finger closing slightly on Axel's chest. "I'm here," Axel said softly. Skarlia dreamt of a large burning town, people within wailing and lamenting. These were... the experiments. "No evidence must survive," he'd said. And so it had been Axel once again who had set the world alight. Skarlia tried to break through the wall of flames to save them, but she couldn't do it. She couldn't disappear in black flames either. She ran as fast as she could, catching the sight of a shadow on the ground and she knew who it was. Axel appeared beside her, keeping at her pace. A sword sliced through the air and Skarlia avoided it, but Axel was sliced across the stomach. He leapt to his feet and found himself staring at Lexu.
Skarlia made an uncomfortable movement in the real world and Axel moved an arm down behind her back, resting his hand on her hip.

Ayla sighed and closed the door behind her and Kara. She glanced at a man as he walked past her, he flinched and walked faster. The meeting had not gone well. Ayla had lost her temper. She shouted, it was not as bad as it could have been. But still, it was pretty scary. "Right." Ayla nodded, breathing out heavily. She closed her eyes as the man exited the empty corridor. She bit her lip as she thought of what to say. "I really have good timing don't I?" She mumbled. "I,uh, well.." She trailed off. When she spoke again, she spoke fast, as if she wanted to get it over with. "Eve might have a brother or sister." She bit down hard on her lip as she opened her eyes. She looked at Kara, her blue eyes nervous again. "Don't tell anyone." She pleaded quietly.

Kara looked at Ayla with surprise. Then a smile crept across her face. "Well, can I safely say without saying his name that you and I both know who the father is?" She winked playfully. "Congratulations! And of course I won't tell anyone." She smiled absently. "I'm sure you'll be fine though. I had two and I got through it fine." She said it as though she had thought it, absently and didn't seem to realise she had just let slip a 16-year secret.

Ayla rolled her eyes as she relaxed. "Yes, you can safely say that." She nodded once, smiling. The nerves had vanished from her blue eyes, they sparkled like they had done for the past couple of days again. "Not even Rildax." Ayla told her quickly. That was the second reason she was nervous. She did not know how to tell him. "Huh?" Ayla looked at Kara in surprise. She folded her arms and leant against the wall, facing Kara. "Care to explain?"
Vexa knocked on the door of Axel's room. She had been asked by Xyrina to replay a message back to Axel. Usually she would have told Xyrina to do it herself, but she was bored. So she had accepted this time.

Kara's eyes widened suddenly realising what she had said. She really had to learn to keep her mouth shut when she was thinking about something. "...ah." She said simply, turning a little red. "Well. Yes. I didn't mean that..." she sighed. "I'm not getting out of this one am I?" She smiled. "And I can't just say that I've forgotten how to count. Right." She took a deep breath in and then let it out. "Well, let's just say that Skarlia had a half-brother. A half-brother." She looked Ayla in the eye. "I won't tell Rildax, you don't tell the dad." She closed her eyes and tried to force the name out, but it came spilling out and the syllables were smashed together. "Reno." She opened her eyes again. "But... he died years ago. His name was Elu, I took him with me and Reno never knew he existed. But... he's gone now." She looked at the floor. Then back up at Ayla with a smile. "Second niece or first nephew!"
Axel heard the knock on the door and slipped away from Skarlia carefully. She didn't wake up as she was pretty deep in sleep. He opened the door and nodded to Vexa. "Hello."

Vexa nodded back to him. "Afternoon Axel." She said dryly. "Xyrina asked me to tell you that the people you wanted her to watch are acting as normal as ever. Except Demyx and Masina are back "together"." She actually made the quotation marks with her hands. "And as far as she knows Reno is still unconcious." After she had done talking she shoved her hands in her pockets. "That's it. You got anything for me to do, superior?" She rarely called him that. She was pretty bored. "I'm bored out of my mind."
Ayla listened intently. She nodded as Kara spoke, her gaze dropping slightly when Kara said she had lost Elu. Then cringed as she shouted. "Kara, keep your voice down would you?" She scolded her older sister(no idea how that works XD). She looked at the floor again. "I want to tell Rildax. I just don't know how. I never had that problem with Eve. I never knew who the dad was." She glanced at Kara out of the corner of her eye. "Parts are still missing from my memory, I doubt they will ever come back."

Kara nodded. "I don't know Rildax as well as others," she said. "But I know he'll understand if you tell him. But you don't have to tell him right away, though I think he'd appreciate it if it came from your mouth. Men are like that." She winked playfully. At least now she seemed to have cheered up.
Axel shrugged slightly. "Do something creative," he said. "Go... wait, hang on." He ran a hand through his hair. Thankfully Skarlia was asleep, because if she had been awake she would have had a huge flashback to how Axel once was. Finally Axel spoke again. "Go get Ayla. Dump her in a cell and report back when you're done." He put his hands behind his head. "That would be somewhat useful." He knew this would help somewhere along the lines, if not yet then it would do soon.

Ayla nodded. "I guess. But if I can't, could you?" She looked at Kara sadly. Her eyes worried again. "I really wouldn't know what to say. Then again you never told either of them, did you?" She winked playfully at her sister, despite the worry in her eyes. "Just kidding."
Vexa's eyes widened. She nodded once. "Sure." She said carefully. She had orders from Ayla to carry out any orders she had been given by Axel, even it involved killing her. Vexa didn't know what to do. When it came to Enzeru, that's exactly what this order had done. "I'll see you later then." She said confidently. With that she dissapeared into flames.
She reappeared outside Evalaine's house. She leant against a tree and stared at the sun. What was she going to do?

Kara smiled softly. "Yeah, I will if you really want more to." She said. she tried to swirve the conversation away from her own love life, still feeling a painful sting there. "Erm... well, I think I saw Rildax leaving the house this morning, about six o'clock. I haven't seen him come back though." She looked at Ayla carefully. "If you wanted to find him, where would he be?"
Axel closed the door and span on his heel. Skarlia was looking at him. He lay down on the bed again and she moved closer to him again. "Who was that?" She asked sleepily as her eyes closed again. "Vexa," Axel replied. "Just business."

Ayla shrugged. "Rildax is pretty hard to find." She smiled slightly. "He dissapears at random times. He's either wandering round aimlessly or he's gone back to the desert." "Ave." A man walked up to her as she stopped talking. "Vexa's outside. She looks worried." "Right. Thank you Josh." Ayla nodded to him. "Have you done your report yet? I'll need them later." "Nearly finished with it, miss." He nodded and Ayla nodded once in responce, with that he left. "Want to see whats wrong with Vexa? That was Josh by the way, along with Herutsu he's in charge of anything to do with combat. Elle is in charge of Medical stuff, and Peter of weapons and fighting lessons." She paused. "I have to go through reports from each of them. So I kow if anything is wrong or not." "Hectic life." She chuckled. She stood up straight and began to walk toward the stairs. "Coming?"
