"Go ahead," Rildax smiled. "I'm sure anything you can't tell us Arxbi can. Or even Lyrin, he knows a lot about them." He looked over at Masina and Demyx. "I think that we can get one more ally from Organisation XIII. I've met him a few times and it looks like he's only there because he's got nothing better to do. I think he could be a little afraid of Axel too, but who knows..." Rildax glanced at Demyx. "I think he was a friend of your's, and Axel's. I forget his name though." Khali chipped in. "Karxitarr. I remember Skarlia telling me about him. He's not that bad. Before Skarlia joined Axel, those two had a sort of bet going on. Best out of three fights, I think." Rildax clicked his fingers. "That's him!"
Kara suddenly started and her gaze drifted before it lay on Reno again. Or at least, where he should have been. He wasn't on the bed. "Rawr!" Reno suddenly leapt at Kara from behind and she jumped violently, the two crashing onto Reno's bed. Reno knelt up. "Heh heh, gotcha." Kara laughed and sat on the end of the bed, Reno standing up. "I thought you were still 'poorly'!" Kara grinned. Reno did a pose like Superman. "Oh no, I'm stronger than that!" He seemed to get a cramp in his arm and clutched it. "Ow, ow, ow..." Kara stood up beside him, a smile still upon her face. "So I see..."

Masina glanced at Rildax and Khali before her gaze shifted back to Vexa. "Xyrina?" "Right." She nodded. "Same element as Demyx, water, only, she doesn't use a sitar." She paused. "Xyrina rarely uses her weapon, as its just a sword. Two swords actually. Even though she doesn't use them, she's really good at controlling water. Better than even you are Demyx. She can trap some one with the water and drown them if she wanted to. But she gets really nervous. As in, she screws up a lot in training, so she isn't a very confident fighter." She explained. Demyx laughed. "You have high opinions of them don't you? As far as I know, Xyrina is terrified of you and Ayla." "She is. I only have high opinions of two of them." Vexa said dryly. "Who?" "Lexu and Lirxia." Vexa said. "Lexu, I can't explain much about, maybe Arxbi could help you there. But Lirxia, she is scarily strong. Even if she does only control air." She sighed. "What?" Masina asked. "So far she is the only one that has even touched me in training." She took off her coat and laid it on the table, revealing her dress beneath it. "Ouch." Demyx said as he saw the large gash down Vexa's leg. It was covered by part of her tights but still incredibly visible. "I still want that rematch." She said sarcastically, folding her arms. "Aren't you cold?" Masina asked her, in an equally sarcastic tone to Vexa's. "Not really. Anyway, Lirxia, she controls the air element. She uses a large number of knives, and martial arts, like Fexier did. Her knives are adapted so the travel faster through the air. As she doesn't attack you herself with them, or at all unless absolutely nessisary." "Just sounds kind of lazy to me." Masina said. Demyx laughed and put his hands in his jeans pockets. "Her weak point is the ground, she doesn't ever expect an attack from there." Vexa explained. "Which is why Fexier beat her. Because he controlled earth. She should be more on her guard about that though."

Reno's blue eyes wandered about, as though trying not to let them fall on Kara. "I think now I can ask you." Kara glanced at Reno. "Oh yeah, go ahead." Reno didn't look at Kara directly for a moment. "Axel had a boy with him, about 16. He was a Nobody, I think, but not quite. It's hard to explain. He looked onto the world differently to Axel or Demyx or Rildax. It was like there was emotion behind his eyes, but it was caged." He finally looked at Kara directly in the eyes. "And... he looked a lot like Axel. Like me. Axel said... he said I should ask you. Who is he?" Kara's heart somersaulted in her chest, threatening to burst free. "Elu..." "Who?" Kara clasped her hands over her mouth, her eyes wide. She dropped back to sit on the bed. "Axel... he knew. He knew who he was from the start." Her hands dropped, but her expression was still stunned. "Did he mention a name?" "Yeah, he called him Lexu." "Lexu..." Kara played with the letters. "He's done something to him. That's Elu with an 'x'." Reno was still staring hard at Kara. "Who is he?" Kara looked up at Reno, panic etched into her face. Why was she drawn in to tell the truth to him? "Elu... he's my son." Kara looked at the floor, but she guessed Reno knew what was coming. "He's your son." Reno took a few steps back. "But- no..." Kara looked up at Reno. "I'm sorry, I left because I couldn't face it. I had you but-" "Demyx." Reno seemed to be fighting with his emotions. "What, don't you trust me?" Kara shook her head quickly. "No, no, it's just-" "I have a son, Kara! A son!" Kara was on her feet, her eyes welling with tears. "I couldn't face it if..." "So you thought you'd go play happy families with Demyx, Elu and Skarlia?" "Reno you know that's not true." There was a horribly long pause. "What are you saying?" Reno finally broke the silence. Kara was looking at her feet. "I'm sorry... I really am..." Reno saw the girl from over 16 years ago who had just barely made it out of a fight alive. The one he'd saved. The one who had poured her heart out as to why she hadn't fought back. And then Reno was beside her again. His arms were around her and he rested his head on her's. Kara looked a little surprised, but her arms were around him after a moment. "I'm sorry too," he sighed.

Eve sat silently in her room. Her eyes locked shut as she sat cross-legged on th floor. "Mum." She whispered. Her whole room was slowly becoming cloaked in shadows. She opened her eyes as the door opened but still the shadows did not fade. "Eve." Elle said softly. "Calm down, I could see the shadows outside. Let's go and see Herutsu." Eve stayed where she was, looking away from Elle. "Your uncle, Khali, Rildax and Vexa are down there." Elle said. "Come on." She smiled as Eve stood up. "Fine." The five year old sounded so much older than she was, and looked it as she walked past Elle.
"I am trying to think of more information, but the only thing I can remember is what Axel is planning. But Cloud, surely you alread know that?" Vexa looked at him, her eyes flickered to the door as Elle walked through, Eve was behind her. The little girl walked over to Herutsu, silently. She didn't look up, she just took his hand. "She was basically painting her room using shadows, I walked in and everything was black." Elle explained. Vexa closed her eyes, Eve was angry. "She's angry." Vexa told them. "How do you know?" Herutsu looked at her. "She always does that when she's angry. She covers everything around her in shadows so everyone will leave her alone." Vexa explained. "Like Ayla does with that forcefield thing, so she doesn't hear anyone who talks to her."

"Unfortunately I have first-hand knowledge of that," Cloud replied. He tried to shake the memories of the huge Experiment Room from his mind: the people in containers, dead and alive; the huge heart that lay chained at the bottom of the room; the experiment chairs that were still stained with blood. Rildax glanced at Cloud with uncertainty. Cloud had explained everything the previous night. Deep down Rildax felt almost glad he hadn't seen that room first-hand.
Kara held Reno a little tighter as she felt a tear roll down her cheek. Reno looked at her like he had almost always done: like a best friend. "Come on, I forgive you." He told her. "I know you. You had good intentions." Kara nodded and looked up at Reno. "I just wish that..." "What?" "I wish that we could have met under better circumstances." "Hm?" Kara's lips crashed into Reno's and he jumped a little at how sudden she'd done it. But after only a moment of thought he was kissing her back, softer than anyone would imagine a kiss from Reno to be like. Finally they parted and Kara lay her head against his chest, hearing the soft rhythmic pulse of his heart. Something she could have never experienced with Demyx. She closed her eyes as Reno watched her. "So what does that mean?" Kara smiled, her eyes still closed. "Whatever you want it to mean."

Ayla's scream achoed through the dungeon as Xyrina touched her tattoo. She was smiling as she took a step back. "Get lost, Xyrina." Ayla panted. "No. I'm enjoying this." Xyrina laughed. She taped the tattoo, and Ayla screamed again. "Xyrina, leave the girl be." A tall light-haired woman appeared outside of the cell. "Urgh." Xyrina groaned. "Oh, Lirxia, you spoiled my fun." Xyrina looked at Ayla, scowling. "Fine, I'll just be leaving then." With that she dissapeared into black flames. Ayla looked up at the woman on the opposite side of the bars. "So," the woman looked at her. "You are Vexa's somebody. I envy her. I envy you. How I wish I had a heart. Even if it was as currupted as yours."
"Vexa." Eve whispered. "Huh?" She looked over at the little girl. "Xyrina. She's nearby. You should leave." Eve told her. Vexa nodded. "I'll see you later." She dissapeared into black flames with those as her last words. A few seconds later Xyrina appeared in the tree Herutsu had been sat it. She swung her legs back and forth as she stared atthe sky. "Your friend is giving me a headache, Herutsu." She said mockingly, jumping down and leaning against the tree trunk. "Listening to Ayla's screams is giving me such a terrible migraine." She placed her hand on her forhead, as though she had a headache. Herutsu clenched his fists. Elle put her hand on his shoulder and he breathed heavily. Eve glared at the floor, listening to this womans words as she spoke of her mother. "Though, I have to admit, it's worth it, just to watch the pain she's in." She laughed evilly. "Stop talking about my mother like she's a toy." Eve hissed. "Your mother? Oh, so you're Eve. You're just as pretty as your mother. I have to admit, no matter how much I hate her, Ayla is a very beautiful woman. It's no wonder a nobody as hot as Rildax fell for her." She smirked. "Ayla would kill you for saying that you know?" Masina scowled. "Ayla's not going anywhere anytime soon Masina, in fact, she's barely in the state to move." Xyrina's voice was mocking, as if she was purposely trying to press the wrong buttons. True, usually she was afraid, Vexa had forgotten one thing though, Xyrina had times where she wasn't afraid, and was just as cruel as Axel. "Stop it." Eve shouted at her. "Why are you lot torturing her? What did she do?" "No Eve. If I really wanted to torture her. I'd hurt one of the five people she cares about more than anything. That, would be torturing her, especially now, since she's powerless if I did." She smiled cruelly. "It really is very enjoyable to watch her scream in pain though. Seeing the red tears that she cries, its all worth the headache. Just to see some one like her break." She smirked again.

Rildax glared at Xyrina. "I suppose I should say 'thank you' for you calling me 'hot'." He raised a brow. "But I won't. And I suggest you leave now, there are enough people here I'm sure who want to seriously hurt you as it is. Don't make it death threats."
Reno suddenly looked out of the window and Kara felt his body tense up. She looked towards the window and sighed. "Looks like trouble once again." Kara said. Reno nodded slowly. "Yeah. Looks like it." Kara smiled briefly at Reno. "Are you fit to walk now?" "If I'm fit to jump on you, kiss you and whatever else, I'm sure I'll be fine." Kara nodded. The two began to walk along the corridor, for once Reno leading the way.
Axel appeared once again outside the cell, leaning with his shoulder against the bars. "Oh please. She's not a show-and-tell project. You're all coming to her as though she is." He smiled slightly. "Be more like Sarxial. Passive." He raised a brow. "It seems as though Xyrina's having fun. Must you all go off and annoy the enemy? That's my job."

"Xyrina is annoying." Lirxia scowled at Ayla, who looked away. "I came to tell Xyrina to leave the woman alone. I could hear Ave screaming from my room." She looked at Axel before looking back at Ayla. "Besides, Ave, she is Vexa's somebody isn't she? Vexa is one of the strongest of us. Fexier was, until she killed him. I also wanted to see if Vexa's somebody was as strong as Vexa." She narrowed her eyes at the girl in the corner of the cell. "I'm dissapointed."
Xyrina looked at Rildax, before her eyes turned to Eve. "Aw, the torture of that power you bare." She said coldly. "The shadows allow you to see your mother, hear her. You could hear her scream, that's why you're so upset. Maybe I am torturing her. Because its hurting you isn't it?" She looked from Eve, to Rildax and Cloud, to Herutsu. "All the five people I mentioned are here minus one." "Hurt her is putting it politely Rildax." Eve said lifelessly. Xyrina gasped and leapt into the air and the shadow of the tree began to deform and spiral up her leg. "Nice try kid." "I'm not doing anything. They just don't like you." She closed her eyes. "What was it?" "Huh?" "Oh yeah. Herutsu how happy do you think Kesus will be to see Ayla again. Though I can't imagine Ave being too happy, not after what he did to her last time." She smirked as Herutsu froze. "Shut up and leave." He growled. "Kesus goes anywhere near Ayla and I'll rip his throat out." "I don't doubt that." Xyrina laughed evilly before dissapearing. "She cannot be serious. That bastard is still alive?" Masina growled. "Apparently. Ayla's eve more powerless now than she was then. There's nothing she can do." "But there's something Vexa can. Keep him away from her." She said harshly. "Looks like there is a que to kill him." "Considering what happened to Ayla, is that surprising?" Demyx asked. "What?" Elle looked at Herutsu, who looked away from her.

"You all throw far too many compliments at Ayla and Vexa." Axel shrugged. "After all, one's only human, the other's just a Nobody." He watched the two inside the cell for a moment. "Jeez, this is boring." He waved his hand lazily. "Leave her to it, Lirxia. Sometimes I think you give more respect to Ayla and Vexa then you do yourselves. Stop wasting what life you have and go do something useful or creative. Seriously, I want to lock you all in a room with crayons and Lego." He disppeared in black flames to find something 'creative' to do.
Reno was out of the house first, followed by Kara. The two stood together like that really made Cloud wonder what they had been like in Shinra together. They looked like a formidable pair. Put together with Rude and he imagined them to be near unstoppable. "Has she gone running back yet?" Kara asked, walking ahead of Reno, who leant against the wall idly.

"If you're refferring to Vexa, she helped us. If you're refferring to Xyrina, it's a good job she left, or one of us would've ended up tearing her apart." Herutsu said, he looked over at Eve. She was sat silently, staring at the floor. "Well?" Elle raised her eyebrow at him. She completely ignored the fact Reno and Kara had walked in. "'Well' what?" He asked absently. "Kesus." She said. "What happened?" "Kesus isn't on our side anymore. He is on Axel's." Herutsu paused. "Remember about a year ago, when a man showed up and Ayla started acting weird." "Ayla always acts weird, but yes, go on." "Well, that was Kesus. He controls people, like they are puppets now. He never used to use it, but now. Well, something happened with Ayla, when he was controlling her." "Something?" Ele looked at him carefully. He didn't answer. "Ayla slept with him. But not so much under her own will." Demyx said bluntly. "He made her." "What?" Elle's eyes widened. "No further input Demyx." Masina put her hand over his mouth, as Ayla had done frequently with Rildax.

Kara glanced sideways at Rildax nervously. His eyes were alight with anger; he unconciously made the shadows around him rise like waves and shadows began to appear around his clenched fists. "He's dead..." he growled through his teeth. Kara wanted to try and calm him down, but knew she couldn't. So she changed the subject to try and help. "Rildax... can you explain what Texaelle figured out now?" She asked. Before you kill us all. Rildax glanced at Kara. He seemed to calm a little, the shadows not so raised. "Sure," he said, taking the notes from his pocket and handing them to Kara. She read the last bit carefully and smiled as she finished. "Why didn't you figure this out sooner?" Rildax laughed, taking back the notes. "I know. Well, we checked the pH balance and it was normal..." He smiled slightly. "The water. Genius." His eyes sparked with ideas and he began to pace. "So the people from the ancient civilisation knew. But how?" He stopped and clicked his fingers. "They were wanderers! They left of their own accord because they knew what was coming! They were like you, Kara!" Kara looked a little taken aback. "Me?" Rildax smiled. "Yes! They had Nobodies and they'd got them in the same way you had. Therefore they had visions into the future! And with so many of them, tutoring each other on how to use this power properly... they knew what was coming!" He ran a hand through his hair and made it spikier than it already was, if that was possible. He span on his heel in a three-sixty spin, the bottom of his cloak swaying around his ankles. "Then... they could see how they were going to solve the problem before they even started! They saw Axel and the Cobalt Cancer... so they started on the City!" He grinned broadly."That explains how they had such perfect buildings for an ancient civilisation." Then a wave of realisation passed over his face. "Then... how did no one ever see it sooner?" He stopped and thought for a few moments. He came up with the solution quickly and seemed not bothered if no one was listening. "Three years ago there were Gummi ships on either side of the desert, setting off wind that kept the dunes in place, the ones that covered the city. Now the Cobalt Cancer is about, no Gummi ships are ever in the actual town and are on the other side of the desert. That wind moved the dunes and therefore revealed the city!" He laughed again. "Thank god you were on our side, Texaelle!" Kara sighed with relief. Rildax was calm now and the shadows had returned to normal. She glanced back at Reno who winked playfully at Kara's quick-thinking.

Elle watched Rildax, and couldn't help but laugh slightly. She looked over at Kara and smiled. Herutsu shook his head at Rildax in amusement. His eyes flickered to Masina as she walked and sat down beside Eve. "We'll get your mum back, I promise Eve." She said softly. "Masina." Eve looked up at her. "You look different." "Do I?" Masina looked at herself. Her dark hair was resting on her black jacket, covering the white vest top beneath. Her black jeans were torn and ragged. She was wearing red and black trainers, not very stylish, but she was comfy. "Demyx?" "Your hair is longer I guess." "That's not what I meant." Eve said. "Your eyes, they don't have the same look in them they used to. They don't shine as much as they did three years ago." She explained. "Huh?" Masina paused. "Oh." "Please get her back." Eve pleaded. She hugged Masina like she used to. Masina froze, before hugging her back. "I promise." She said carefully, looking up at Rildax again.

"We will, Eve," Rildax promised, calm again now. "We all will. Axel... Axel's coming back with us. Then we can finally see how this all started. Why he is how he is now. I understand now... he isn't 'him'. We'll get Ayla and Axel back." Kara was looking at the floor silently. Then a voice came from behind her. "And Lexu," Reno whispered; he'd walked down beside Kara. She smiled and nodded. "And Skarlia. They're all coming back." Kara said. "Well, it's all well and good saying it, but we need to get to work!" Rildax smiled. "First we need a way to get some members away from the area. Some will be easier than others."
"So what do you propose, Master?" A handsome boy asked, his eyes focused on the older man beside him. Shiro and Quinn. The two stood on a building overlooking Twilight Town. "I think we should meet these groups soon," Quinn replied. "But I thought you said we should go at this alone?" "They can infiltrate the Castle in the Sky easily. We can get to Elu and finally get him back to us." Shiro nodded gravely. "If he will come with us." "He will, Shiro. Have some faith in him. You two were like brothers." Shiro smiled at the memories. "Yeah, I guess so."
Axel spotted Skarlia alone and walked towards her. "Hey there," he said. Skarlia looked up. "Hi. I've been wanting to ask something." Axel nodded. "Fire away." Skarlia sighed. "Is it just me, or does Lexu look a lot like me?" Axel sighed. "Ok, the truth..." he looked at Skarlia. "He is what's left of your half-brother. When I found him he was almost without a heart. And he had hardly any memory. So I took him in, soon realising from dreams Eralix had pondered through who he was." Skarlia looked at him with confusion. "Half-brother?" "Let's just say Kara spent a lot of time with Reno." "...seriously?" Skarlia's eyes widened, a classic thing between her and her mother. "Does he know?" "He has no memory. He wouldn't believe you even if you told him." He shrugged. "I thought you should know. Just don't try and tell him because he may hit you." Skarlia nodded. "Alright. Thanks for telling me though." Axel nodded. "Don't mention it. But I'm going for a bit. I may be gone most of the day, so if you get bored, go entertain yourself by bugging Sarxial or something. See if you can make her crack." He winked, lulling Skarlia into a false sense of security, as though this really was the real Axel. He vanished in black flames.

Vexa and Lirxia leant against the walls in the corridor that lead to the dungeon. Xyrina stopped as she saw them. "If you're going to see Ave, we're not letting you through." Vexa said lifelessly, staring up at the ceiling. "It's just a bit of fun guys." Xyrina smiled innocently. "A bit of fun that's giving me a migraine." Lirxia scowled at her. "But-" "No." Vexa snapped. "Lirxia." She said to the woman beside her, her blue eyes not leaving the ceiling. "Right." Lirxia grabbed Xyrina's collar and dragged her down the corridor. Xyrina smiled as Lirxia dragged her past Skarlia. "Hi." She said sarcastically. "Idiot." Vexa mumbled from a little further down the hall from Skarlia, where she had already been stood. She stood up properly and walked over to Skarlia. "Afternoon, you alright? Axel buggered off somewhere?"
"Cause enough trouble in places so Axel will have to split them up. There are only twelve of them, you can't exactly count Vexa, so eleven." Eve shrugged. "Just an idea, it's probably no good."

"That could work..." Rildax nodded. Amazing how in three years he had gone from a loner to a strong leader. "Alright then. Be on your guard though. Not all of them are easy to kill, or harm at all." He looked about at everyone. "The troupes we have ready to fight should only be needed if we run into large groups of strong Heartless or Nobodies. Otherwise they can spend time training. So they are ready to invade the Castle in the Sky." He looked up at the sky briefly. "Eve, good plan. Should we get started?"
Axel reappeared a long way from anything. Here he stood in yet another world he had created. This one he had never shown to anyone. He was stood on a large piece of debris that floated impossibly in a void of nothingness. More debris, big and small, also floated about, all seeming to orbit a huge black diamond-shaped crystal in the centre. A roar that sounded a little avian echoes overhead and Axel glanced upwards, a massive shadow passing over him. He smiled to himself. "So you're still doing well." He observed.
