"This should be more interesting than last time." Masina mumbled. "Ave." She said loudly and quickly. Ave's movement was swift. She flicked back her skirt so her knife sheath was visble. You could see her gun strapped to the black leather strap on her pale thin legs. She pulled out a small silver cylinder from the strap and tossed it to Masina as her skirt fell back into place. Masina easily caught it. "Don't take it too far." Ave warned her. "Relax Ave. As Larxene once said, 'I won't break the toy.'" Masina smirked coldly. "I'm not sure who is the toy in this game." Ave mumbled, leaning against the cold stone wall. Her bare back was freezing against the wall. But she was used to the cold just as much as she had grown used to the heat. "Flame boy didn't have to accept it. He might as well go back to his little castle if he doesn't want to be here." Ave mumbled to Demyx, who nodded. Though he was surprised at what Ave had said. She had called Axel what she always used to. "You worry too much." "I never said I was worried." Ave snapped. "You are just stubborn and you aren't thinking about what you are doing." "Hypocrite." Masina mumbled. She held the cylander in front of her. There was a large surge of electricity sent down it and it extended into a large staff. Masina could have called her keyblade. But she wanted to have a little fun with this first. She didn't need the staff, which now surged with electricity and the storm clouds above them turned black as thunder began to echo. "Hope I'm not going to bore you." Masina looked at Axel absently. She brought the staff to her side. Holding it with one hand. In her free hand a large ball of light was forming. It was electiricity. She looked down at her hand. She waved it in the air in no particular direction and it flew directly at Axel. Demyx froze. He had had no idea she could make the electricty come from her body. Vexa watched cautiously. Saying nothing. She looked down at Arxbi. Her blue eyes examined him carefully before falling to Demyx. "You two should probably move." She called down to them. "Huh?" Demyx had forgotten she was there. "Right." He walked to Ayla's side. He looked over at Arxbi before fixing his eyes on Axel.

Arxbi was leant against the wall silently, his eyes closed. "Nah," he said. "I'm happy here thanks." Axel held his hand out in front of him and a chakram appeared, no longer red and silver. It was black where the red was supposed to be. He span it and a few flames span off it to deflect the electricity. He extended his other arm outwards to summon his other chakram. His arms lowered and he absently span the chakrams around with his fingers. "Oh, so it's not all just flashy?" Axel laughed slightly. "I thought you were just putting a light show on for me." Skarlia sat down where Axel had been sitting to watch the fight, torn between her once best friend and the one she'd always loved. Kara watched the battle too, looking down on them, staying standing. She felt almost as though Skarlia was a different person now. How she had once hated Organisation XIII with all of her being.

Masina smiled slightly. She looked over at Ave, who was watching her from the alley. "Do you want a light show. I'm sure it'd be more interesting than whatever you can do." She shrugged. Still looking at Ayla. Before she turned fully to face Axel. "Me and Ave haven't been playing for three years. She trained me. I lost my heart, so she didn't need to teach me to be ruthless. When we actually fought properly. Well, I least I can beat her. You got beat by a girl." She smiled slightly. "Though she still refuses to kill you." She said the last part bitterly. "Well I assure you, though I may have been your best friend, I don't have that problem." Her face suddenly turned cold and emotionless, like a stone. She looked as cruel as she claimed. "I never did get rid of this." She zipped up her coat. Revealing it to be the organisation cloak she had been given by Axel when she joined the old Organisation XIII five years ago. Sh squated on the ground. Holding her hands aganst the burnt pavement. Small sparks radiated from her hands.
"What is she doing?" Demyx asked Ayla. "Ask Vexa. She can do it as well." She shrugged. "Why would I ask her?" "Tell you later."

Arxbi grinned at Masina's move choice and small dark puffs began to appear beneath him. They grew into a sort of cloud and lifted him a little above the ground. He continued to watch. Axel rolled his eyes. "Great... more flashy attacks." He leapt up, flames suddenly leaping up to meet him. He smashed his foot downwards into Masina and used the momentum to spring back upwards, the fire following. He landed stood on the fire itself. The sparks of the flames danced onto the ground, creating more flames which began to lick the air, claiming oxygen and rapidly increasing. Skarlia shifted slightly. Not another town about to be burnt down? No... the fire wouldn't go past an invisible circle that seemed to form as the fire grew. Was Axel trying to keep his word?

Masina didn't move as Axel leapt on her. "It wouldn't be wise to stay in the air. It's a good job this part of town is deserted." MAsina said coldly. Ayla froze. "Ayla, what is it?" Demyx noticed and looked at her. She suddenly stood up straight and walked to the edge of the alley. "Don't Masina." "Don't be such a coward." She snapped at Ayla. Who snarled. "I'm not a coward your just a fool." Ayla's voice was cruel and harsh. She was quite a way away from Masina. But as the pulses of electricity got large, Ave seemed to get more uneasy. "You carry on with that attack, you could kill everyone here. Your letting your anger control you, again. Don't." "At least I have it in me to kill him!" Masina growled. "You're right. I do hesitate to kill Axel." Ayla raised her arm and Masina stiffened and the pulsing faded. She seemed to be choking as her hand flew to her chest, dropping the staff. Ayla held her other hand out. The staff shrunk and flew into it. "But believe me, I'm not in a good mood today, I wouldn't hesitate to kill anyone here. But I won't watch you destroy everything." She said, her voice filled with anger and annoyance. "It's not your problem." "That move is a last resort." She repeated. "You won't just kill Axel. You'll kill everyone." Ayla sighed. She tensed her hand and her fingers seemed to slowly be moving into a fist. Masina's choking got worse. "Ave! Let me go!" "Fine." Ayla lowered her arm. MAsina struggled ot her feet. "Are you trying to make me fight you?" "If you want to try it, go ahead." Ayla slid the staff back into her leg strap. Masina noticed her eyes glow slightly, but thought nothing of it. She waved her arm quickly as though she were throwing something. A huge electric pulse soared through the air, but just before it hit, Ayla dissapeared. Masina felt some one tap her shoulder. "Congrats, first time I have had to move that fast in years." Ayla said jokingly. As Masina turned around, Ayla punched her, sending her flying backward, smacking her head on the wall. "Ayla!" Demyx snapped. "What the hell?!" "She deserved that. Get her out of here." She told him. He nodded and lifted MAsina up, before dissapearing into flames. Vexa followed suit but to a different destination. "I apologise for that Axel. You looked bored anyway." Ayla was Ave now. She didn't look at Axel her hair and skirt blew in the wind of the storm. She looked up at it. "I should have made her stop that storm before I knocked her out."

Axel lowered to the ground. The flames disappeared and he leapt up onto the rooftop with Skarlia. Kara flinched and backed away instinctively. Images of the cell were in her mind again. Axel didn't look at Kara as she leapt to the ground again. She stood against a wall, trying to stay out of the way. Skarlia looked at Axel as his eyes fell on her. "Well that was boring," he said quite loudly. "Anyway, time to go. Want to say anything first?" Skarlia turned to look at everyone, but looked back at Axel and shook her head, knowing if she said anything she would break down. "Alright," Axel said before saluting the group briefly and together the two disappeared in flames. "I'll handle it." Arxbi landed as the clouds dispersed and he looked upwards at the sky. The storm began to depart to a few clouds, the moon appearing once again. Kara suddenly pushed herself away from the wall and walked off down and alley, hands in her pockets. Unlike Rildax - who had been merely watching the whole time - she only ever put her hands in her pockets like that when she was upset beyond anyone's comfort. Her head was low as she walked, unable to comprehend the nightmares that had awoken to reality.

"That's better." She smled half-heartedly at Arxbi. Ayla's hand flew to her head as pain zapped through her. She really shouldn't have done that. She still wasn't fully recovered. In fact, she was far from it. She nearly fell but flames appeared in front of her and two hands caught her shoulders. "Are you okay?" A recognisable voice asked. Ayla looked up and Vexa was stood in front of her. "You're going to get caught." Ayla said quickly standing up straight, avoiding the question. "You're going to get yourself killed but you don't seem to care." Vexa backfired. "Do you have a deathwish, Ave?" "I'm not in the mood Vexa." "Just be careful okay? Thats all I am telling you to do." She folded her arms, looking at Ayla up and down. "You better not let them anywhere near that tattoo now. You already know not to let them get close to your heart. Then again. Three years and you have never let anyone get close to you."

Rildax glanced at Ayla and her Nobody. "Wow, two of you..." he smiled. "I don't know if that's something I should really be pleased about or something I shouldn't really be too happy about." Kara kept walking until she was in the square. She sat down on a bench, her head buried in her hands for a moment before her hands pushed her short hair from her face and she looked up at the sky. Three years... she thought. Three years and we're together again. And already we're falling apart...
Axel appeared with Skarlia in the Castle in the Sky. As soon as he appeared though he staggered onto a large chair, as this was Axel's room. Skarlia noted there was a bed, but it looked like it had never been used before. Axel's eyes were tightly shut in pain and Skarlia had a flashback to the day she found him staggering back, trying to stop Skarlia from taking him inside. Had he known then that he would become... this? A quiet but dark laugh escaped Axel's lips. "Well, what a wonderful little reunion." His eyes remained shut as he motioned towards a wardrobe fitted into the wall. Skarlia hadn't noticed it because the room was like the inside of Castle Oblivion: white and sterile. "Feel free to dump your stuff in there. I suppose your stuff is still in the Resistance. I can either send someone to get it or we can replace your stuff." Skarlia nodded in silence. Odd really that even though Axel's eyes were closed it felt as though he was looking straight at her. "Oh, and if you're tired, feel free to use the unused bed," he said casually. Skarlia sat down on the bed and looked at the floor as she thought. She looked up at Axel to see him looking directly at her. She would've jumped if she didn't feel safe now with him. Skarlia lay back on the bed. "Thanks," she said softly. The bed was big; thankfully Axel's room was big too so the bed didn't actually take up that much room. The springs in the bed were pressed down slightly as Axel sat down on it. Skarlia turned her eyes on him again. "Is this seat taken?" Axel smiled. Skarlia couldn't help but smile back as he lay beside her. The two lay on their sides, looking deep into each other's eyes. The two were close to each other, Axel's arm around Skarlia's waist, Skarlia's arm around Axel, but the position was a little higher. "Do you ever sleep?" Skarlia asked. "Very rarely," Axel said. "And when I do I don't fall asleep in bed like any normal person..." Skarlia smiled at him as he rolled onto his back, his hands behind his head. She moved closer to him, her hand on his chest and her head resting against him. Her eyes closed and she began to drift asleep.

Vexa flicked her short redish-brown hair from her face. She looked over at Rildax. Ayla froze. She didn't know he had actually followed her. Vexa smiled at him. "You're Rildax. I can guess by her reaction." Vexa jerked her head toward Ayla. "Nice to meet you formally. As in, when my co-workers are not trying to kill any of you lot." Vexa said awkwardly. She grabbed Ayla's wrist and dragged her over to Rildax, she pushed her toward him and she nearly fell over. "Watch it." Ayla sighed. "Sorry." Vexa looked over her shoulder at Arxbi. "I am gonna go and talk to him." She spun on her heel but looked over her shoulder at Ayla. "By the way, at least try and let Rildax, Elle, and Herutsu look after you. And Demyx is only trying to help. Happy birtday for tomorrow, I'll see you then, I have a, surprise, for you." She told her before walking slowly over to Arxbi. She stopped a few feet away from him. "I think this has been the most eventful day we have had in three years."
Ayla looked at Rildax and smiled awkwardly. "You saw all of that?" She asked cautiously. She was stood pretty close to him, because Vexa had pushed her, but she was playing with her hands behind her back and biting her lip. Ayla had adopted these habits. The lip-biting was usually when she was nervous.

Arxbi nodded. "It has indeed," he said. "Oh, and give Axel my love, please." He kept a straight face as he said it and glanced at Vexa. "Let's hope there won't be anything this 'eventful' for a while." Rildax smiled slightly. "I have been standing there for ages," he replied. "Take a guess." An alarm buzzed on Rildax's watch and he swore under his breath. "I'll be back in a bit," he said before disappearing in flames. He appeared again a few minutes later and grinned. "Hello there," he said. "Do you come here often?"
Skarlia was soon asleep and Axel noticed that. He also noticed that Skarlia still had her sword strapped to her back. Was it a habit to have her sword near her while she slept? Or had she just been really tired? Or... didn't she feel safe here? Axel slipped away from Skarlia, unbuckling the sheath carefully and pulling it smoothly from her back. He rebuckled it and hung it on the end of the bed. He sat down in his marble chair, thoughts casting webs of confusion in his mind.

Ayla stared at the floor. She didn't speak at first when Rildax came back. Her eyes closed for a short while before she opened them and smiled at him. "Not often." She smiled kindly. But her eyes were blue again and the pain in them was visible. "There is no need to ask you, since you spend most of your time in the desert." She laughed slightly before turning her face away from him. Something Ayla never did. Not from Rildax anyway.
"I think we might." Vea said quietly. "So, where are you going to go now?" She asked Arxbi. Her voice showed a slight hint of worry in it. But that was impossible, since Vexa was probably more ruthless than Masina had been.

Arxbi shrugged. "I'm sure I'll find something," he said, glancing about the town. "I'm steering clear of Organisation XIII though. Until I feel the urge to go fight them." He smiled slightly. Rildax smiled but the smile vanished as Ayla turned away. "What's wrong?" He asked instinctively. Kara held her hand in her hands again, her eyes closed as the pain seemed to split open her head, worse than any of the other pains. She usually suffered in silence and never made a sound, or just quiet groans. But this pain ripped at her being, tearing her apart, threatening to surround her in a realm of torture... The scream escaped her lips before she could even begin to stop herself and she was on her knees and hands... "Don't leave!" Reno shouted through the rain, his voice drifting into the darkness of the descended clouds high above.
No reaction. She just stood there.
"Are you even listening?!" Reno hollered again. "You have Cloud back home, Ayla's gone, he needs you!"
"He's a big boy now," Kara replied as the rain dripped off her hair like the metronome in her heart. She knew this was not the responce Reno was looking for. He was trying to strike at her heart. But he was trying in vain. Her heart had been broken long ago.
"That's not the point!" Reno replied. "You're the last family member he has left! Don't walk out on him. He's lost Ayla, don't leave him too!"
There was a long pause before Kara replied. "He has Tifa and the others," she said.
"Kara!" Reno was closer now. His voice was softer, but only a bit. He stepped closer and now he was right behind her. He spoke so softly now. "Cloud won't be the only one that will miss you."
Kara finally turned to face him. It tore at her heart to see his face so saddened. Why he was sad by her leaving, Kara didn't know. But then the moment took hold and she leaned towards him. He did the same. Their lips locked together and for a moment the whole world didn't matter.
And then it was over. Kara dashed off into the night, leaving Reno too speechless to do anything but stand there...
The vision took a throw from the past and into another timeline...
"What do you mean?" She heard herself say. The sunset was in the distance and the plain stretched out before her. In front of her Skarlia stood, looking away from Kara. Skarlia made no response. "You said there was something you told him before he left. Please Skarlia, tell me what it was." Skarlia turned and looked at her mother; tears were streaked down her face...
Another throw of visions as the future stretched further...
The rain whispered as it pounded the earth, hiding the tears that fell from Kara's eyes. She looked up at the town, standing on a rooftop, looking over it. She felt loss within her, an unbearable loss, an unbreakable chain that was slowly getting tighter and tighter around her neck. He was gone. She was too. The two she considered the most important people in her life. Gone. Lives snuffed like a candle in the wind. And there was no reviving them. Not now. Not ever again.
Axel stood up and walked out of the room, continuing along the corridor and then stopping by a door. He knocked and a cool, bored female voice replied. "Enter." Axel opened the door to see Sarxial lay on her bed, hands behind her head, one leg crossed over the other with an MP3 Player on. She looked at Axel as he entered. "Superior. Do you need anything?" "I brought Skarlia here earlier," he said. "She will be staying. Most of her things are back at the Resistance. Can I trust you to retrieve it?" Sarxial had switched her gaze to her MP3 Player as she looked for a song. After a few moments she put down the MP3 Player and looked back at Axel. "Do you want them now?" She asked. "A.S.A.P," Axel replied. "Fine, I'll get to it, Superior." She said as Axel left again. Sarxial removed her headphones and sat up. Her legs were crossed as her eyes closed, her hands on her knees. She seemed to freeze to the spot until her eyes were suddenly open again, completely golden. Symbols began to appear on her face and arms, also glowing gold. She searched in her mind for the aura of a Resistance member, easily recognisable for the golden-red colour. She spotted it quickly and was in the body easily. Posession was easy; this one was only a trainee. Immediately noticing she wasn't that far from Skarlia's room, she walked towards it quickly. She had minutes in this body. She got in easily and gathered anything in the room that could be important to Skarlia. The final minute chimed and she was zipping back to her own body. The golden glow disappeared and she saw the pile of Skarlia's posessions on her table. The table transported anything she took to her room, anything she had in her hands as she was returning to her body. She felt drained now and instead of delivering Skarlia's stuff immediately she left it for Axel to get later. She lay back and continued to listen to her MP3 Player.

Ayla looked back at Rildax and smiled. "Nothing." She lied. Her mind was tearing apart. The pain was intense. But she ignored it completely as her sister's scream reached her. "Kara." She whispered and ran in the direction of her sister. She finally found her and ran over. "Kara? Kara what's wrong?" Ayla's voice was unusually worried. She knew her sister must have had a vision, but none of them had made her scream before. The girl looking frightened and worried at her sister, this was the Ayla from three years ago. The one that constantly ignored the pain to make her friends feel less tense, not the one who ignored the pain to make herself stronger.

Kara opened an eye as the vision began to disperse. "Not the best set of visions in the world..." she replied weakly. She tried to stand but didn't have the strength. "Haven't had one from the past in a long time..." she tried to at least get on her knees so she could pull herself onto the bench. "You'll keep it secret, right? The past vision was from when I left everyone. Heh, I kissed Reno." She felt her weight seem to increase as her vision began to go black. She looked up at Ayla again. "I'll be fine... promise..." Then the darkness took her and she passed out.
Rildax watched Ayla go with a smile playing across his lips. "Ayla will be Ayla..." he muttered.

"Kara!" Ayla bent down and caught her sister before she hit the floor. She put Kara's arm around her shoulders and put her own arm around Kara's waist. She stood up straight and began to carry her sister back to where Vexa, Rildax and Arxbi were.
Vexa looked at Arxbi and laughed slightly. It was rare to hear her laugh. It was pretty much the opposite to her usual harsh tone. This was kind of gentle, like windchimes. "If you are staying away from the organisation, why are you talking to me?" She smiled but that faded as she noticed Ayla and Kara out of the coner of her eye. "What the hell happened?!" Ayla's gaze drifted from her sister, to Vexa, to Rildax then back to Kara. "Visions." She said simply.
