"That's all she seems to do." Herutsu mumbled. "She is even more reckless than she used to be. Which I thought was impossible." He smirked, closing his eyes. When he opened them, he didn't take them from Ayla. "She's an idiot." He looked at the woman lay under the covers, her hands folded neatly over her stomach. Her eyes were tightly closed. "Elle said, being Ayla, it wouldn't take long for the anesthetic to wear off. So she could make up. But she said she had better keep that mask on if she does." He laughed slightly. "Though if she takes it off, I don't think we could convince her to keep it on."

"I see," Rildax said. "Feral and lawless. That's her upturn and downfall." His words were simple but sliced the atmosphere in a way only Rildax could manage to pull off. He blinked and pulled a hand from his pocket, scratching under his chin before sliding his hand back into his pocket. Axel suddenly fixed Xyrina with a gaze again. "I want you to go into the desert," he suddenly fired an order at her. "Keep tabs on Ayla, Herutsu, Rildax, Kara, Cloud, Khali and Demyx. And anyone else you think should be kept an eye on." His eyes shifted slightly, purposely leaving out a few people from the list. "Report back later. At the Castle in the Sky."

"Yeah. I agree. Though her recklessness os probably a learned trait. She is just as bad as herThough why she tries to avoid them so much I'll never know. Of about everyone, Axel is the only person she doesn't try to avoid." He glanced at Rildax and smiled slightly. "Lawless, Ayla is a nutshell. As for Feral, she isn't as reckless and wild as most people who are that way. Unlike most, she thinks about things before she acts. Even if it is only a second, Ayla's mind is certainly odd. Her decisions may be reckless, but almost always they are right." He sighed. He fixed his eyes on Ayla again. "How can someone so strong look so weak and fragile?" He closed his eyes and hung his head. "Superior? I am already keeping tabs on Ave, to watch every one of them would be very difficult." Xyrina bit her lip. She was still curious about Ayla's name. She figured she hadn't been told everything. Or pretty much anything. She nodded to Axel after a long pause. "Sure. I'll do my best." When Xyrina said that, it meant she would. When Xyrina tried her best it was beyond normal expectations.

Rildax eyed Herutsu briefly. "She is still human, you know," he said. "You ask how she can be so weak and fragile? Remember she is not a goddess or anything like that. She is still just human, no matter how much everyone seems to depend on her all the time." Rildax's voice was slightly sharp, but there was no anger behind it at all. His eyes whipped around the room and he examined the room carefully. "Depend a little more on yourself, too," he said with some kindness. "Good," Axel replied absently. "If you need help I'm sure Sarxial and Karxitarr will help. They've probably already stopped doing as I told them to because I can't see them." He waved a hand in one direction lazily. "Probably over there somewhere. It's where they usually are when they can't be bothered with work." Skarlia noticed the absence of her own name in the list. And who else was in the list. So had her name not been mentioned for a reason? Or was it just a coincedence?

"Jeez," Heruts smirked, "you really do still love her." He laughed slightly. "Relax. I have no choice but to depend on myself by the way. She's never here." Herutsu swallowed before he said the reason. "The lake at Brookside. Where Eve is buried. I think she spends most of her time there. Huh?" He froze as Ayla began to cough again. He walked over to her quickly. Her eyelids began to flutter and they slowly opened. "Ayla?" "Why do I feel like I was just dragged through Hell?" Her voice was weak, but as usual, the sarcastic tone in it was strong. Her hands were shaking as she bo=rought one to her face, she removed the mask as everything caame into focus. She saw Herutsu first then Rildax. "Crap." She said simply. She looked around. "Where's Elle?" "Not here why?" "This is her equitment." Herutsu nodded. "I'll go get you a drink." He said before leaving the room. Ayla struggled to sit up but when she finally did she rested her head against the headboard. "My head feels like I just got shot. Believe me I actually do know how that feels." She whispered sarcastically. Her voice was straining to be even a whisper, it sounded so much like when she had been ill three years ago. She had nearly died then as well.

Rildax smiled at Ayla briefly. "Guess 'how are you feeling?' is very inappropriate right now," he said. His gaze shifted to Herutsu for a moment in thought. He then glanced back at Ayla with a small grin.
Axel's emerald eyes were misted again as he thought about things. Skarlia could see that from where she was. She wondered what went through his mind now, but then decided she didn't want to know. She may be degraded even further if she did know.

"You question 'you missed me?' still wins top prize for stupidest question." She smiled at him. "I bet you that I looked like an idiot with that thing on my face." She joked lifelessly. Lifelessly because as soon as she spoke she started coughing again. "I always have a coughing fit on my birthday, which is tomorrow. Joy." She said sarcastically.
"Shouldn't you be gathering that information again, Xyrina?" A woman's voice came from the shadows and a girl stepped out from them. She had short reddish brown hair and her eyes were blue. Electric sparks pulsated from her hands. Xyrina froze. "Yes Vexa. Goodbye Superior." She looked over her shoulder at the girl. The red-head only appeared about eighteen. But Xyrina was terrified. She dissapeared immediatly. "Wow I know how to get rid of her." Vexa chuckled evilly.

"Indeed you do, Vexa," Axel replied half-absently. "Did you come for something? Or are you just busy terrifying the cowards of this Organisation?"
Rildax sighed. "Guess so," he said. "And for your birthday..." he looked casually around the room. "Hmm, didn't know it was so close." He loosened his shoulders absently. He knew there were many things he could get Ayla that she would appreciate, but most were impossible. Rildax couldn't bring back the dead. Still, he had a few ideas...

"I wanted to talk to Fexier. But he's gone and he'd run away from me anyway." She shrugged. "Ayla is awake and well. Which should be much to his displeasure." She explained dryly. "My somebody is a pain is the neck. Then again, I tend to be. Don't I sir?" She laughed lifelessly.
"You're back." She smiled at Rildax, pushing the cover back and sitting up on her own as she swirved to face him fully. "I don't need anything else for my birthday." She leant toward him and kissed him softly. Her hand on his cheek as she did.

Axel shrugged. "You're all a pain in the neck," he said. "You are all so bloody annoying. Some like Sarxial don't care. Karxitarr is inexperienced, you go around scaring everyone off and Arxbi does anything to get on my good side. And I won't even start on everyone else." He glanced at the sky for a moment. "And as for Ayla... she will only be a problem when she is in front of me. For now there is nothing she or anyone else can do to stop us. Anyway, after three years..." He turned to glare darkly at Vexa. "They still think this is all about destruction."
Rildax grinned and he began to kiss her back, his hand on her's. After a few moments he pulled away and smiled. "I wish I could say the same thing," he shrugged. "But, you know, I haven't got a clue when my birthday is or was. Or even if I rightfully have one."

"Three years." Vexa smirked. "I couldn't care less for the others. They are just in my way. Besides, three years, and no one knows anything about me. I'm no coward, I'm not afraid of even you unlike most of them. I don't see the point. Also, I don't scare people off on purpose. Most get on the wrong side of me once, then they are all afraid of me. I see no point in trying otherwise." Her voice was dark and cold, lifeless, as though she were not currently listening to Axel. She sounded like this most of the time. "I do not see the point wasting my time on idiots." She said simply. She sounded slightly like her somebody when she said that. "Hmph. No offence, but that is what I class all of this organisation as." She shrugged. She wasn't afraid of Axel or his chakrams, despite her fear of fire. She was only afraid of being trapped in a fire, and being trapped in a tank or somewhere with a lot of water. But Xyrina was terrified of her. As for Demyx, well, thats another story, for another time. So she had no problems drowning.
Ayla smiled at him. "Meh, having a birthday only means your getting older. Though in my case, I seem to get more immature." She laughed slightly. This laugh wasn't as absent as her laugh had been for the past three years. "I don't need anything for my birthday. I don't even want to remember it." Ayla said that carefully. The day after Ayla's birthday was when the first cases of the cancer had been found. So it would be obvious she'd want to forget. She spun properly so her legs hung off the bed. She stared at the floor in silence for a while before she spoke. "Nothing is the same now is it? For anyone. Herutsu tries to act like everything is okay, but it isn't. It will never be." She sighed. "We've lost too much."

Axel rolled his eyes at Vexa. "Lovely," he said mockingly. "I'm not really fazed if you're scared of me or not. And if you really think the whole Organisation are 'idiots', then why are you still here?" He smiled slightly. "I have to stay: they're my idiots." Skarlia was chilled by his voice on his last sentence. It was the voice that was really Axel's. Her Axel's voice. The one that soothed her even through the darkest times. The one he had spoken to her for the first time with.
Rildax grinned. He glanced at a watch that he had on his wrist, which he hardly wore unless he was traveling away from the Oasis City. "Damn it, Texaelle will kill me when I get back..." he sighed. "She's sane now, thank god. But I do kinda blame myself."
Arxbi suddenly appeared behind Axel, who glanced at him out of the corner of his eye. "Are you already finished?" Axel said, spinning to face Arxbi. "Sir, the others are already busy looking," he said. "I think they can cover the ground quickly." Axel grinned briefly. He didn't need anyone looking. It had just been to get rid of them. "Fine," Axel said. "Since you're so eager to help do something, I'll assign you a task..." His emerald eyes flashed menacingly. "The next target has been decided. Since I don't have the time or the patience to block him from the Castle in the Sky, the quickest way is the get rid of him now." He glared at Arxbi and Arxbi feared the worst. "Demyx. Go kill him for me, Arxbi." Skarlia held in a gasp. Axel said it so casually like he'd just asked Arxbi to go pick something up from a shop. Arxbi was just as shocked. Without a word he disappeared in flames. "He'll never do it," Axel grinned.

"If your so smart Axel, where is it you suggest I go?" Vexa snapped. She was never the kindest person; and, although she seemed fiercly loyal to Axel, her attitude toward him was far less respectful than the others. She was returning to her usual secluded self slowly. Though, even her secluded perosnality had a temper and a foul mouth. She watched as Arxbi dissapeared and couldn't help but freeze slightly. She relaxed quckly as Arxbi spoke. "You said that as if he were never your friend. But, you are correct, I doubt he'll do it. You did pick the worst person for the job to be honest." She said emotionlessly. That was a lie. She would have been the worst person fot the job. As Vexa knew that the person that had hidden for the past three years was one of the last keyblade barers(other than Khali of course), and that she woouldn't simply stand by and watch Demyx get killed.

"What the hell are you so worked up over?" Axel glared at Vexa. "I thought you were Number III. Instead of telling me what I'm doing wrong, go find something to do yourself." He looked away. "I'm sure Xemnas didn't get any of this." Skarlia wanted to go find Demyx, but where was he? How the heck would she find him? But if Axel was right, Arxbi wouldn't even carry out the order. Why?
Arxbi appeared on a rooftop, looking down at Demyx and Kara. His eyes were filled with guilt as he leapt to the ground. "Hello again," he said slowly. "I guess... I guess I should just get on with this..." In his hand a long staff appeared, on top a large ball. "I've been given orders to... well..." he cut off, not looking at Demyx. "Better get this over with." He raised the staff and flicked it slightly. The ball on top flew off, but span quickly and large spikes appeared on it. It floated and whirled around his head, a dark chain appearing between it and the staff.

"Changing sides might be the better option." Vexa mumbled. "I never said you were doing anything wrong." She shrugged. She basically had zero respect for Axel, she only saw him as a neusanse. Her first statement was simple, but unnessisary. Since behind Axel's back, she basically was on the other side. "I'm sure that might have been because Xemnas had a little more luck controlling the rest of them, minus you. Then again, you have no problem controlling everyone. Minus me." She sniggered before dissapearing. Xyrina had been watching the two the entire time. She was pretty shocked by the lack of respect Vexa showed toward the superior. Vexa was the only person she knew in the organisation that called him by his name.
Vexa reappeared watching Arxbi and Demyx from the roof of a building. Masina appeared beside her and sat down on the roof. "I take it Demyx isn't a great fighter? What with you being here?" Vexa looked down at the nobody beside her. Masina had told Vexa that when she first existed she was trained and a sort of apprentice to Axel, and that if this had turned out differently, if he hadn't of supposedly killed her, she may have turned out just like him. Considering Masina lost her heart when Evalaine died. Literally. Vexa did not understand something else Masina had told her though. That there remained a connection between her and Axel's minds and bodies, but Axel was unknowing to the fact MAsina was alive. So it confused Vexa greatly. "Not particularly." Masina smiled slightly. A quiet laugh also coming out.
"Axel has really sunk so low." Demyx sneered. "He must be pretty lazy. I mean, unless he captured some one again, that had zero chance of escaping alone, I would not bother with him or the castle. He should know that. After all I am pretty lazy myself." He laughed as his sitar appeared in his hand. He glanced upward and could see Vexa and Masina on a building. He knew that if this went too far, Vexa would make up some excuse to stop it.
