Ayla froze. Vexa looked at her in worry. She knew what was coming. "Eve, wait here. I'll be right back." She told her daughter. Picking her up as she stood then placing her down where Ayla had been sat beside Rildax. "Mum, whats the matter?" "Nothing. I'm fine." Ayla smiled. "One minute." Ayla walked outside. Eve tried to close her ears as she had very good hearing. She could hear her mother coughing, she couldn't close her eyes or the shadows would show her mother to her. "Huh?" Vexa stood up quickly and ran out of the door. Herutsu looked at her briefly before watching Eve. Ayla had stopped coughing. But she wasn't moving.
"Ayla?" Vexa walked out of the room and looked around, that is when she saw Ayla leant against a wall, breathing heavily as though she were in pain, considering the blood on her hands. Vexa guessed she had been. "I'm-" "Don't even think about saying you're fine, I'm not blind." Vexa scolded her. Ayla flinched as she started to cough again. Vexa was at her side nearly immediatly.
Eve tried not to cry. She had seen her mum in pain before. But not like this. Usually her mum could overcome the pain quickly. But whatever was wrong with her now was different. And whatever it was, only got worse over time. "Eve, come here." Herutsu motioned for her to come and sit by him. Eve jumped off the bed and walked over, she climbed onto the sofa and hugged Herutsu tightly. "You're mum will be fine. You know her. Stubborn as hell." Eve laughed. "Yeah, I guess." She nodded, but carried on holding onto him.

Rildax wanted to go after Ayla, but he remained where he was, almost not breathing, so still and his eyes fixed on the door. Reno looked at him and nudged him slightly. "Come on, you know Ayla," he said. "She'll be fine." Rildax glanced at Reno, nodded, but continued to stare at the door.
Kara glanced at the sky. The sun was out and there were barely any clouds in the sky. However, an omnious feeling was in the air. "There's a storm approaching," she sighed. Skarlia glanced at her mother. Kara had brilliant instinct which was only heightened after getting a 'mother's intuition' and the whole ordeal with Texaelle. Skarlia didn't doubt that her mother was right. "I won't go with you to the others," Skarlia sighed. "But I'd like to see my dad and Masina. Any idea where they are?" Kara shook her head. "I don't know," she admitted. "Your father took off with Masina after what happened between her and Axel. I haven't seen them since." "Oh..." Skarlia switched her gaze to the ground.

Vexa sighed as Ayla stopped coughing again. She watched cautiously as she tried to stand up. Nearly falling over again. "Ave." Vexa said her name in a worried tone. She placed her hand on Ayla's shoulder. "I'll be fine." She assured her. Vexa stayed close to her as they walked back to Ayla's room. Ayla had her arms folded so no one would see the blood on her hands. "I don't believe you." Vexa mumbled as they reached the door. "I never said you had to." Ayla shrugged as she walked back into the room, her arms still foded and she was biting down on her lip. Vexa eant against the doorframe and watched Ayla as she sat down beside Rildax again. "Eve, do you want to go meet a girl called Lilly? Me and Ayla look after her." Herutsu looked at Ayla before looking down at Eve. Eve's eyes were swelling with tears, but she nodded and Herutsu took her to Lilly's room. He returned moments later without Eve. "You're an idiot." He looked at Ayla, who stared blankly at the floor. She had not looked at anyone since she came back in. "So what if I am?" She said quietly. Vexa froze at how much her voice had changed. "Sometimes, being an idiot is more interesting than being normal." "You are only an idiot in the way that you won't let anyone help you Ayla." Herutsu shook his head. "What good can anyone else do? You and I don't know what's wrong with me, why would anyone else?" "Ayla, stop it. You're turning everyone away, again." Herutsu's expression was sad as his gaze fixed on her. Though, he got no answer, she didn't look up she didn't speak. Nothing. "Here." Vexa tossed a white cloth to Ayla, who caught it. "Wipe the blood off your hands." She told her. Ayla did as she was told, by the time she had finished the cloth was basically red.

Rildax's eyes were on the floor again, not uttering a word. He didn't feel he could. So he didn't start to ramble.
Axel knocked on the door slowly, awaiting a reply. For anyone else, Lexu would have ignored the door. But he knew Axel's knock and so opened the door. "Hello, Superior," Lexu said. He backed away from the door, letting Axel in. Axel nodded to Lexu. "You have seen Skarlia now, right?" Lexu nodded. "The girl you were with. The one with purple hair." "That's the one," Axel replied. "I want you to take her on a mission when she gets back. You don't go on many and it will be her first. You'l be able to teach her the ropes around here." Lexu nodded. "Let me know when she's back," he said. Axe turned and walked out of the room, closing the door behind him. Lexu smiled to himself. He was finally going to be doing a mission.

Herutsu stood silently, watching Ayla for a few moments before he spoke. "You're impossible." "That I am." Ayla finally said. Her voice was shaking. Elle was worried about her. Ayla didn't want her to be. Ayla didn't want anyone to worry about her. "Right." Herutsu smirked. Then smiled over at Reno. "Hey, Reno, want a game of pool?" He said suddenly. Vexa gave him a confused look, Elle just shook her head at him. Ayla finally looked up and smiled slightly. "I should get going." Vexa stood up. "Where?" Elle asked her. "I have a job to do." Vexa looked at Ayla, who nodded. With that Vexa dissapeared. And Ayla looked at the ground again. Elle stood up then. She walked over to Ayla and placed her hand on her shoulder, Ayla batted her away. Herutsu froze and Elle took a step back. "Ayla?" Herutsu looked at her in pure fear. "I'm fine." Ayla said through clenched teeth, he voice wasn't angry though, it was sad. As if she were biting back tears. "I should get back to the medical room." Elle said. "I'll, see you guys later." She walked past Herutsu and out the door. "So, you coming Reno?" Herutsu sighed and let his eyes wander the room as he spoke. They settled on Rildax when he finished talking.
"Hey!" Demyx shouted as he was hurled from the corridor of darkness. "Masina, cut it out." He slipped off the edge of the building and hung on for his life. A black wolf ran out after him and skidded to a stop in front of him. A white light surrounded the wolf and moments later a girl was in its place. "Demyx!" She cried and ran to the edge, she pulled Demyx back up and looked behind her as Masina walked through. "Whats the matter with you? You could have killed him!" She scolded. "Heh heh," Masina rubbed the back of her head. "Sorry guys." She laughed, then her eyes caught the figures stood on the next building. "Hey Skarlia, Kara!" She called over to them. Demyx looked over, as did Lura.

Reno jumped at the chance to get out of the uncomfortable situation. "Yep," he said immediately and was on his feet and following Herutsu in an instant. Rildax held back the urge to stick his finger up at Reno. He glanced at Ayla briefly. "So, all alone with moi," Rildax said. "Let's start a conversation. A random one. Yeah."
Skarlia grinned broadly at Masina and Demyx, plus this new girl, though as she saw her transform from a wolf into a human, she thought painfully of Enzeru. Kara smiled slightly and waved. But Skarlia ran forwards and although it may have felt awkward she flew at Masina and hugged her tightly. She had missed her. A lot. She had missed Demyx too. But one hug at a time, right?

Masina hugged Skarlia back, which was odd considering that last night she attacked Axel. Demyx stood up and smiled at Skarlia. "Hey there." He grinned like an idiot at her and Kara. Lura stood up but hid behind Demyx. Lura didn't trust anyone with that coat anymore. Demyx looked at her carefully. "Come on kid." He took her hand in encouragment and pulled her to his side. "You two remember that wolf that was always with Ayla right? Well, she was born a human. This is Lura." Demyx smiled at Lura, but she took a step back from Skarlia. "She is very shy by the way."
Ayla looked up at Rildax. She didn't speak, she was crying again silently. She just nodded and looked back at the floor again.

"Ayla," Rildax suddenly said, a somewhat sharp edge to his voice. "What is wrong with you? You have more mood swings than Skarlia on a park swing." He sighed. "Talk to me, please. Hardly anyone else does."
Skarlia let go of Masina and waved awkwardly at Lura. "Hey," she said simply. She looked at her dad. His turn. Her arms were around him now. "God damn it, I've missed you two." Kara looked on, her hands finding her pockets. She felt awkward being here, yet she didn't know why. Her eyes danced away, looking somewhere to her left, to the ground.

Ayla looked up at Rildax as he said her name. She sighed and bit her lip, looking down again. "I'm sorry." She said quietly. "It just-It hurts." She closed her eyes. She suddenly sat up straight and wiped her eyes. "I'll be fine." She looked up at Rildax and smiled. "Sorry Rildax." She turned to face him. "Just ignore me okay?"
Demyx let go of Lura and hugged his daughter. Masina slung her arm around Lura's shoulders who rolled her eyes at her. "We've missed you too, Skarlia." Masina smiled at her. Lura wriggled away from under Masina's arm. She ran over to Kara. "You are Ayla's sister right?" She asked her. "I recognise you."

Kara nodded. "I am," she said to Lura. "Nice to see you again. In this form." Skarlia seemed happy. Happier than she had been for three years. It was obvious she had missed these two beyond most of the others, perhaps because these two changed her life, along with Axel. Back when she first ever met Masina, met Demyx again and saw Axel once again. Cloud had filled Kara in with the details once. Kara had been pleased that Skarlia had found a place she belonged. Even if her mother sometimes didn't.
Rildax smiled at his hand was on Ayla's shoulder. "Ayla, I can't ignore you," he said. "Never. I won't ever." His eyes seemed to shine with happiness as he watched Ayla. "So... what are you thinking?"

"Likewise." Lura smiled at Kara. Her voice was high-pitched. Child-like in a way, considering she was sixteen. "Ayla thinks a lot of you. And your brother. She always used to talk about you." Lura told Kara. "This is the first time anyone other than Ayla has seen me out of my wolf form." Lura sighed. "I'm a little different. I have never known how to act around people." "I've missed you kid." Demyx smiled at Skarlia. Masina smiled contently and looked across the buildings.
Ayla looked at Rildax, then after a while of seeming deep in thought she answered him. "What I'm thinking is hard to explain. It would work better to show you." OOC:: Oh lord

Skarlia let go of Demyx and glanced between Masina and him. "Are you two ok?" She asked. Kara glanced back at Lura. "Oh don't worry," Kara said. "When you spend as long as I do alone you get the same feeling." She laughed slightly. "Guess I became a lone wolf myself."
Rildax's eyes narrowed. "What?" He asked blankly, looking at Ayla with confusion.

Ayla sighed and shifted so she was knelt on the bed. She closed her eyes and opened them again slowly. "This." She took Rildax's hand with one of hers and the other moved to the back of his head as she pressed her lips against his, more passionately than she had done the night before.
"I am a lone wolf now. Haven't seen Ayla in years, and my whole pack, well, they got wiped out by hunters." Lura sighed, her amber eyes dropping to the floor. "We're fine." Masina nodded, looking back over to Skarlia. "Your dad is still as much of an idiot as ever though." She said sarcastically. "Ina!" He snapped. Masina just laughed.

Skarlia laughed slightly. "No change there then!" She joked, but she smiled at Demyx playfully. Kara sighed. "I'm sorry to hear that, Lura." She said honestly. "You and Ayla were so close, right? I remember."
Rildax's eyes widened in surprise, but immediately he reacted, kissing back passionately. His hands found Ayla's hips and he pulled her very gently closer to him, his eyes closed.

Ayla pulled away for a fraction of time. "And now you know what I was thinking." She whispered. She began to kiss him again, her hands on the back of his head, keeping him close to her.
Lura nodded. "Yeah." She sighed. "I miss her. I haven't spoken to anyone in three years. I like being a wolf, the instincts come naturally to me, but it's nice to actually talk to some one as a human. I have never liked my human form though, despited Ayla trying to convince me otherwise." She smiled at the memories the two had shared. Lura had come here looking for Ayla, and Masina had promised they'd take her there. "Not at all." Masina smirked. "You two enjoy picking on me don't you?" Demyx asked sadly. "Do you even need an answer to that question?" "I'm gonna kill you Masina." He said sarcastically. He dissapeared into flames then reappeared behind Masina. "Gotcha." He shouted wrapping his arms round her waist and lifting her up.
"Those two look like idiots." Lura rolled her eyes as she looked over at Demyx and Masina.
