"you shouldn't have go-" Ayla voice cut off mid-sentance as she fell into total silence. She looked at the necklace and bracelet. Her blue eyes seemed somewhat shocked. "Rildax, I, uh..." She couldn't think of anything to say. She loved it and thought it was gourgous, but didn't quite know how to explain that when she was in shock.

"Heh heh," Rildax watched Ayla. "Erm, do you like it? I mean, if you don't, I can exchange it for something..." Which would be an absolute horror-film-gone-wrong because that particular shop was closed down now and the owner of it had never been found.
Kara's eyes flashed open and she bolted up. She felt a dizzy spell claim her and she screwed up her eyes and groaned quietly. She held her head in her hands for a few moments as the dizziness passed. Her eyes opened again and she looked about slowly. Where exactly was she? She passed her hand lightly over the covers of the bed in thought. Ayla caught me as I passed out. Then what? She thought carefully; she'd forgotten about those words she'd uttered while she was unconcious.

"Ah, so sleeping beauty has finally awoken." Herutsu said sarcastically, leaning against the wall opposite Kara's bed. "Grow up Herutsu." Elle rolled her eyes as she walked to the side of Kara's bed. "She's my best friends sister, I'm allowed to say that!" He laughed. "Nice to see you're awake Kara. Ayla, Rildax and Reno brought you back here and I was like 'what the heck?'" He laughed again. "Don't you have to go and see some one?" Elle told him firmly. "Right!" He ran out of the room quickly. "Sorry." Elle smiled at Kara. "My name is Elle. I'm a doctor. It's supposed to be your sister looking after everyone tonight, but she isn't in the right state. So in other words, if what had happened earlier hadn't happened. Your little sister would be the one looking after all these people right now." Elle explained to Kara. "This is your old friend Evalaine's house. It also happens to be the base for the organisation your baby sister and Herutsu run."
"Reno!" Herutsu banged on his door. "Kara's awake." He shouted through to her.
Ayla smiled and kissed Rildax's cheek. "I love it Rildax." She looked back down at the necklace before hugging Rildax with one arm. "Thank you." She paused. "For this and for bringing me to see Cloud." She smiled again. "You really have no idea how much I love you right now."

"You're welcome." Rildax grinned. "I don't know... I don't know your love for me rivals my love for you." He laughed. "Man I'm soppy."
Reno started as he heard Herutsu outside. He had had his eyes closed and he thanked Herutsu silently for stopping him falling asleep. "Cheers," he replied before sitting up, stretching and then standing up. He opened the door and walked back towards where all of the patients were.
Kara smiled at Herutsu as she saw him. She looked about silently. "Big place..." she thought aloud. She looked at Elle. "Thank you for helping me out, letting me borrow this bed," she smiled. There came footsteps as Reno walked into the room. Kara turned and spotted him, grinning broadly. "Reno!" She cried as he approached and she managed to stand up, hugging him. "Thank you for bringing me here." Reno shook his head. "Nah, I just showed up," he said. "Rildax and Ayla did all the work. You know me, works not my style." He winked playfully. Kara smiled and let go of him, sitting back down on the bed. Reno glanced at Elle with a smile.

Herutsu re-entered the room a short while after Reno. "What is it?"Elle smiled at Reno before turning to Herutsu. "Can't find them." Herutsu shrugged. "Ayla's not in her room, Rildax ain't in his." "They probably just went out somewhere. In the state she's in, Ave wouldn't be foolish enough to go out alone." Elle nodded. She walked over to a bed where a sleeping man was lay. "Herutsu." "Right." He tossed her a seringe and she caught it easily. She injected it into the bag of blood at the side. Then placed it down on the table. "Ayla knows how to do that?" "She knows more than me." Elle told him. She walked back over to Kara. "How are you feeling anyway?"
Ayla placed the box on the floor. She placed her hands gently on Rildax's cheeks. "I'm the one that reads minds, Rildax." She leant toward him, and kissed him, slightly more passionately than she had origionally planned.

Rildax reacted instantly. He was a 'champion kisser' though he didn't exactly practise. He kissed Ayla back with equal passion, standing closer to her with one hand on her hip.
Kara looked back at Elle. "I'm fine now," she replied. "Just a little dizzy. But it'll pass." She stood up again and Reno watched her test her balance. "Yep, I'm fine." "Can we talk for a moment then?" Reno asked. Kara was thrown by the seemingly random question, but she nodded anyway. "Be right back," she said to Elle and Herutsu as Reno escorted her to his room. "So what's up?" Kara asked, touching sarcasm. "Ha ha ha, you're hilarious," Reno replied with far more sarcasm. "Alright fine," Kara smiled, sitting down on the bed, Reno leant against the wall watching her. She recited two of her visions, but did not mention the one she had of the past. When she was finished, Reno let out a long breath. "So any idea what any of them are on about?" He asked. Kara hesitated, but shook her head silently. Reno's eyebrows lowered as he continued to look at Kara. Finally he spoke again. "There's something else." Kara glanced up at him quickly. "How could you tell that?" "You don't speak when you haven't told me all of them." "Oh." Kara sighed. "It was the first one I didn't mention. One about the past. The night I left you and the Turks." Reno blinked a few times in surprise. Kara continued. She knew though that he knew where this was going. "The rain. And you were there, trying to stop me from going. And-" She cut off as Reno held his hand up. "I get it," he said quietly.

Ayla carried on kissing Rildax for a while, before she ouled her lips away from his. Her fac was still close to his as she whispered. "Well, it looks like we might be tied." She smiled. Her hands were on his arms now as she looked at him, well, looked up at him, he always had been a little taller than her. She closed her eyes. "I really have missd you so much Rildax." She told him quietly, before kissing him again, though this kiss was probably more gentle than passionate.

Rildax grinned. "Indeed it does," he said. "I've missed you too, babe." He continued to kiss her softly, his eyes closing for a few moments now and then.
"Sorry about that," Reno smiled slightly. Kara shrugged. "I tell you everything, it's fine." Reno nodded. "So how are you?" "Fine, I guess." Kara smiled. "Sorry, I sound so depressed." "It's alright." Reno laughed quietly. "How's everyone else?" "Depends what you mean by 'everyone else'." Reno looked away. "Oh. Sorry. Wrong choice of words." "Those that are still with us are fine." "...good." Reno decided against asking about Skarlia.

"Huh?" Ayla pulled away from Rildax, taking a step backward. She closed her eyes. Seemingly listening to something. She smiled slightly as she opened them again. She looked at Rildax. "Kara's awake." She told him, a slight smile on her face. "She's with Reno." She paused. "I should probably get back soon, or Herutsu will murder me...bad choice of words, sorry." She slapped her forhead in embarresment. "Are you coming?" She smiled. Well, half smile half smirk.
Masina's eyes fluttered as they opened. Her blue eyes stared blankly at the white ceiling. She could hear a gentle strumming nearby, she knew it was Demyx on his sitar again. "Do you ever stop playing that?" She said coldly as she sat up, her face not turning from staring at the bed. "No." Demyx smirked. He looked over at Masina, his eyes concerned. "You lost it back there, what happened?" "I-I'm not entirely sure." Masina shrugged. "It looks like you can't beat Ayla then." Demyx said quietly. "You don't hate Axel though do you? You can't." "Yes I do, don't be ridiculous." Masina snapped. "Masina, he was your best friend. You could read each others minds basically before you were connected to each other." He smiled. "I don't hate him, Ayla doesn't hate him. I can tell you don't either. You miss him." "Shut up Demyx." She said lifelessly. "Have you ever thought that you may not be right about everything?" "The thought has never even swept a corner of my mind." He laughed.
"You late." Fexier said as Vexa walked through the door to the training room. "That I am, very observant of you." She shrugged. "Let's get this over with." She closed her eyes. "I'm waiting."

Rildax nodded. "Of course," he said. "But I'll just need to check in on the others." He walked towards the door, opened it and Khali fell flat on the floor. She had been leaning against the door, possibly listening in, crouched down, because Cloud and Texaelle were stood up and had managed to stop themselves falling. Khali clambered to her feet quickly, all three of them looking guilty. "You been listening to all of our conversation?" Rildax asked. Texaelle shook her head. "We were... testing the room..." "...to see how soundproof it was..." Khali continued. "...and it seems pretty soundproof." Cloud concluded. Rildax laughed at their guilty expressions. "Anyway, I'm going with Ayla again. I suppose that's alright?" "Sure," Texaelle shrugged. "I love the room, by the way," Rildax grinned. "Thank you so much. But you realise of course I'll be in it all the time now?" Texaelle nodded with a smile. "I didn't expect otherwise." Rildax turned back to Ayla and held out a hand. "Let's go."
Kara lay back on the bed, hands behind her head. Reno watched her silently, still leaning against the wall. "So what are your plans?" She asked him. Reno sighed in thought. "Not a clue. I came to see if anyone was... you know. And I found you guys. So, can I-" "It's fine with me if you stick around," Kara replied quickly to stop him tripping over his words again.

Ayla couldn't help but laugh as Khali fell over. Her laugh was more of a giggle when she put her hand over her mouth. She smiled at Texaelle, Cloud and Khali. "Pretty odd way of testing to see if its soundproof Khali." She smirked. "I'm sure I can drag him out of here from time to time. Depending on how hard I try." She smiled. She took Rildax's hand and nodded. "Bye guys." She smiled at them again.
"Huh?" A knock sounded on the door or the apartment Demyx and Masina sheltered in. Demyx lay his sitar down and went to answer it. He opened it an a young girl was sat on the ground on the other side. "Hey, are you alright?" He asked quickly. Masina peered round to see her. "Demyx, Masina, am I glad to found some one I know." She panted. Her dark hair running down her back. "We know you?" Masina and Demyx said together. "Not in this form." "What?" Masina stood up and walked to Demyx's side. "It's me, Lura." She told them. "I'm a kind of shapeshifter. Only just as a wolf." Masina looked at her carefully. Her eyes widened as she saw the scar on the girls hand. It was like a cresent moon. Identical to the one on the forepaw of the wolf Ayla was so close to. "It is you." She whispered. "I didn't know you could become a human." "I was born a human, so, uh, yeah." She shrugged, standing up. Demyx broke from his trance of shock to help her to her feet. "What happened to you anyway?" He asked her. "Uh, long story." She looked at her feet as he helped her inside. "We've got time." Masina said kindly. Unlike her.

Rildax appeared in Evalaine's home again, in his room. He sat down and let out a long breath. "So what do you have planned?" Rildax asked randomly.
"Can I ask you something?" Reno suddenly piped up. Kara glanced at him. "Yeah, sure. Fire away." She hated the fact she just chose the worst word in the dictionary. "What would've happened if you stayed that night?" Reno seemed so nervous about asking this. Kara sat up and thought for a few moments. "I don't know," she replied eventually. "I guess I would have kept helping out you and the others. If you mean something else..." Kara looked Reno in the eye. "I don't know. Really, I don't." Reno shook his head quickly. "No no! I didn't mean that! I just meant..." Kara laughed in her soft voice, not a laugh that was aimed at Reno, but a kind laugh that was just for the situation they were in. It reassured Reno that she was indeed fine. Reno sighed. "Good."

Ayla shrugged. Spinning around on her heel every so often. "Not a clue. I'm not exactly tired. And I don't want to disturb my sister and Reno." She thought for a moment, stopping herself from spinning again. She glanced at Rildax. "I'll probably end up drawing or something in my room. What about you?" She tilted her head at him playfully. She was in a pretty playful mood. She seemed oddly chirpy now.

"Not a clue," Rildax sighed. "I'll probably just start formulating plans. For music. And stuff. Yeah." He shrugged. "Something like that."
"I'm going for a walk," Kara said softly, walking towards the door. "Can I come?" Reno asked. "Of course," Kara replied, the two walking out of the room, Reno closing the door behind them. They walked along until they reached the door, leaving the huge house and walking off into the areas that were left of Twilight Town. "Remember me, you and Rude having ice cream down here?" Reno smiled, motioning to a boarded-up building that was once an ice cream parlour. "Yeah," Kara replied with her own smile. "Then Rufus caught us slacking off!" "And he was like 'Hey! What are you doing?'" Reno put on a mockingly deep voice that didn't sound much like Rufus at all. But it got a laugh from Kara. "And you just said 'Hi sir. Want to join us?'" Kara grinned and the two broke into laughter at the memory. So distant now, and yet they lived on. As their laughter died away, smiles remained on their faces. "Man I've missed your jokes," Kara admitted playfully.

Ayla nodded. She sat down beside Rildax and looked straight ahead of her, rather than at Rildax. "They must have worked pretty hard too do that room." She said quietly. "You were right though, Texaelle has changed, a lot." She laughed. Though now it was an empty laugh. She kissed his cheek before looking at the wall again. "I guess I should tell you to have fun with your planning." She said sarcastically, before standing up and walking to the door. She opened it and smiled at Rildax over her shoulder. "Goodnight." She said softly, before exiting and going to her own room.
(Morning)
Herutsu walked silently, his hands in his pockets as he reached Rildax's room. He knocked on the door half-heartedly. "Morning. You awake in there?" He said sarcastically, he yawned as he finished, it was eight in the morning, yet he never got up this early.
Elle walked to Ayla's room, opening the door and closing it again silently. She looked at Ayla, who was tying her dark brown hair back into a ponytail at the dresser. Elle noticed the necklace hanging around Ayla's neck. "When did you get that?" Elle asked her, her kind, friendly tone was back in her voice now. Ayla glanced at Elle before looking down at her necklace as she finished doing her hair. "Last night." "When you and Rildax left?" "Huh?" Ayla looked over at her. "How'd you know about that?" "Herutsu went looking for the two of you when Kara woke up, he didn't find either of you, so I assumed you were together." She explained to Ayla, who nodded. "He gave you that necklace then?" "Yeah, and the bracelet thats on the dresser." Ayla nodded once and motioned to the open box on the dresser, that the bracelet was lay neatly inside, then started to do her eyeliner. "They are beautiful." Elle said in amazement. "Yeah, I know." Ayla responded dryly. "What's the matter? I'd give anything for some one to buy me something like that, or anything at all for that matter." She laughed. "First of all, don't say that, it's stupid. Secondly, nothing. I just- I don't know." She sigehd and carried on doing her make up. She was already dressed and her black nightgown was lay, folded, on the bed. Her skirt flowed down to her ankles as usual, with the sash at the top just touching her bare stomach that her top didn't reach.
