Rildax growled again, making Kesus' shadow weave up his leg and proceeding up his back, approaching his throat. "It's all so easy, Kesus," Rildax's voice was not his anymore. It was dark and contained so much bloodlust. "I suggest you shut up before I make you." Kara watched Rildax sadly. Reno squeezed her arm slightly. "Kesus will get what's coming to him, most likely by Rildax's hand," he assured her. Kara nodded. "But Rildax... Skarlia told me about when he's angry..." "He's different now."
"So you two have met up again?" The recognisable voice came floating to Skarlia as black flames opened up. "Axel..." Skarlia stared at him. If circumstances were different she'd be shouting at him now. But she still really felt a little afraid of him. "What?" Axel leant against the bars again. "Lexu told me he saw you heading down here." "But I thought-" "I'm not gonna stop all my usual business just because you're here." "But I thought you had a heart..." Skarlia said. "Come here," Axel told her. She did so and he placed her head against his chest. "Do you hear anything?" Skarlia strained her ears but no matter how hard she tried to listen she had to face the conclusion. He had no heartbeat. "My heart died long ago," Axel said as Skarlia backed away from him. "I thought that was obvious." He looked away from the both of them. "Go back to the room and do something useful." Skarlia didn't know what to do. She didn't know what to say. She took a sad glance at Ayla before running back up the stairs. "She'll cry and get over it," he said. He disappeared in black flames again.
Lexu walked past Axel and Skarlia's room, hearing banging inside. He knocked on the door and entered. Skarlia was not wearing her Organisation cloak and was wearing a tight t-shirt and skinny black jeans. She had BloodFang on her back again and was bundling things into a tiny bag that didn't seem to have a bottom, especially when she fit a huge gun in there and the bag was only about the size of a purse. "Skarlia, what are you doing?" He asked. Skarlia looked up. "I'm leaving, what's it look like?" Lexu leant against the wall. He'll come after you. You know he will." Skarlia glanced at him again, emotion drained from her face. "I know." She said simply. "I'm not afraid anymore. I know where my heart lies." Lexu looked at the ground. "But he'll find you so fast. You know what he's like now." "Not if I get a head-start." She stared at Lexu suggestively. Lexu rolled his eyes and held his hands up. "Ok fine! I won't tell him!" Skarlia nodded. "Thank you." She walked past him, he kept looking ahead of him. She stopped by him. "You should really found out who you are... Elu." "How did you-" he cut off as Skarlia held a hand up in farewell and disappeared in black flames.

"I'm not even sure if she'll cry. She'll just get mad." Ayla cringed in pain again. "I guess you both changed." She whispered, she wall falling unconcious again. "She's not some little kid anymore." Even though Ayla herself didn't know her that well anymore. Though she had to admit, Skarlia was still ruled by her emotions. Masina. Skarlia. Her voice in her friends head was weak. She was literally falling unconcious while thinking. She tried to say more, but she was cut off as she coughed heavily. Blood gushed out this time, making a puddle of red on the floor of the cell.
Masina's widened as she heard Ayla's voice. "Ayla. No." She whispered. "Skarlia?" She didn't know what she meant. "Fine. I won't say anything else." Kesus smiled. "I'm enjoyoing seeing you all again. Even if Rildax does want to rip my throat out." He smirked. "Do you ever shut up." Vexa rolled her eyes. "You should know I don't kid." He dropped his arms around Vexa's shoulders who pretended to gag.She ducked under his arm and walked back over to Demyx. Eve looked at Rildax slowly, her eyes lit with fear as she backed up slightly. She saw why her mother was scared of him when he was angry.

Rildax raised a brow. "Seriously, get a life. Can't get yourself a girlfriend so you lower yourself to stealing other people's?" He pushed his foot sideways and a shadow took shape behind him, letting out a ghostly bray. "So Texaelle really did sign Xeno's summoning over to me." He glanced at the huge horse that billowed out shadows like smoke. "Perhaps watching you get killed by Xeno will help me calm down." Xeno raised onto his hind legs and whinnied loudly before dropping onto all-fours again. This horse had blood in its past; it had killed many times before.
Skarlia walked along the streets of Twilight Town, trying to figure out where everyone would be. She caught her reflection in a window. She had changed quite a lot. Her hair was a little shorter and her eyes seemed a little flecked with blood. She had three black marks on either cheek that she had got about two years before. She had painted them on herself to hide some scars after a fight. They stuck and she got used to them. She looked physically and emotionally stronger. She seemed ever so slightly taller, or was that just because all of her nerves and most of her fears had left her shoulders? She kept walking, heading towards Evalaine's house.

"No I can't get a girlfriend." Kesus smirked. "I never stole yours just slept with her, so that's good enough for me." He chuckled slightly. Eve got up silently, Masina had forgotten she was there. "I'm going back inside. I'd rather not watch Rildax get angry. I see why mum gets scared." The five year old told Masina who sighed. "Go ahead." Masina wanted to tell Eve that her mum would be fine, but she couldn't. Ayla had fully cut off from her mind now. There was nothing she could do. Nothing except let things play out. She couldn't understand how Ayla could have let this happen. She wanted to know what Vexa had been talking about earlier. She mentioned Ayla was not just having to take care of herself. Vexa watched Eve go inside. Elle waited at the door before going inside with her. "Masina. You coming?" Demyx said. "I second what Eve said. I'd rather not see Rildax tear Kesus apart. Especially since he used to be Ayla's best friend." "Right." Masina walked over to him. "Vexa, find us when Kesus is either dead or has left." Vexa nodded and Demyx and Masina dissapeared. Her eyes moved to Kesus. Rildax's shadow has on his chest it had moved up his leg, she had seen Eve do something like that, only Eve had literally ripped their head off because some one had said something about Masina and Ayla. Vexa prayed to god that Rildax didn't get angry. She didn't want to know why Ayla was afraid of him when he lost his temper.

"So much for shutting up," Rildax growled, not regarding everyone leaving. Even Kara stood up and led Reno back inside. Xeno brayed again. With Xeno, Rildax could greatly improve his control over shadows and intensify it. "Alright, last chance." Rildax was being extremely reasonable now. Why... perhaps because of the expression he'd seen on Eve's face. "Leave now. I think we both know who would win in a fight." He locked his gaze onto Kesus as Xeno stood beside him, his own coal-black eyes on the enemy.
Skarlia crept towards the house and peered out onto the scene. Rildax and that Kesus guy. And Xeno. She'd missed a lot, but she spotted her mother and Reno heading into the house. Looked like Rildax was getting angry. Perhaps he did know about Ayla? Skarlia didn't think of it as a great idea to just reappear inside after her time apart from them. But it looked like the safest option right now. She disappeared in black flames and appeared inside the house, looking like a true independent warrior after her change of outfit. She glanced about briefly. "I'm sorry, is this a bad time?" She asked. Kara blinked and span on her heel, Reno turning to look. "Skarlia?" She said, a smile spreading across her face. She hugged Skarlia tightly. "So... you're back?" "After seeing Axel's true colours now, yes." She said. "Fill me in on details here and I'll tell you about Axel's plans." Although she didn't know it, the truth was Axel was already aware of Skarlia's departure. And already knew how to get back at her.

"Rildax, try not to lose your temper." Herutsu told him, going inside after Eve. "You're scaring the hell out of that little girl." He smirked. "Poor little Eve. You really would make a terrible dad wouldn't you?" He said sarcastically. "Now Ayla's pregnant with your kid and locked up in some cell in the organisation's dungeon. I would like to see how you deal with this one. By the look on Masina's face, I'd say Ayla's passed out by now and has basically no energy left. She can't use her power anymore anyway. Not even to talk to Masina or Kara." He took a step backward leaning against the building again. "Vexa may have filled you in on me, in her own way. But really I'm not on anyone's side. I'm on my own side." Vexa had already left. She was watching Kesus and Rildax from Ayla's balcony, she was just visible behind the thin curtains if anyone looked in her direction.

"I did warn you," Rildax growled. His sword was in his hand and he span it round briefly. "You gonna fight back? Or can you fight back?" There were waves of shadows around him and they rose up and down every so often.
"So that's it?" Kara asked after the two of them had exchanged information. "Yeah, I'm not falling for him again until this is over," Skarlia promised. "It's not him anymore." Kara nodded. "Like I said before, we'll get him back." Reno winked playfully. "Yeah, we'll knock the sense back into him for ya!" Skarlia smiled at Reno's playful innocence.
So, it looked like this was it. Axel paced his room silently. He played over the ideas in his mind. Of course, he could still get Skarlia to come to him again with the one thing he still had that she was bound to come to him for. However, that may not work, depending on if her link was stronger than he expected. If he was going to remove all those memories, he would have to do it though. "Lexu," he said, the younger redhead walking from behind the door. "I want you to deliver a message later." He looked up at the ceiling. "Tell Skarlia her little guardian angel isn't as 'gone' as she thought. And if she wants to see him she should meet me in the Forbidden Cascade. Give her the location." Lexu paused, but bowed his head.

Kesus looked up and his eyes caught Vexa, who shook her head at him. "Fine." He mumbled. He looked back at Rildax. "Sorry, it would seem I'm not allowed to play." His eyes locked back on Vexa. "See you later Vexy!" He waved sarcastically. Vexa scared at him. "I'm not Vexen." Vexa snarled from the balcony, walking out onto it. "Whatever." Kesus waved his hand absently. "Hmm, where to go? Might pay a visit to my old best friend." He looked from Vexa to Rildax. Then dissapeared. Vexa leapt off the balcony to Rildax's side. "Please calm down." She said to him. "I'm sorry, this wouldn't have started if it weren't for me. I shouldn't of carried out that order."

Rildax placed his sword back in the sheath on his back. He stroked Xeno's nose and smiled at him. "Thanks boy. I know you still miss your old mistress." He let the horse shake his head to correct his mane. "You can return home of you like." Xeno dispersed into black flames. Rildax turned to look at Vexa. "It wasn't your fault," he said, his voice softer than it had been when he'd been talking to Kesus. "Let's just go inside. If he comes back I won't be so easy on him."
Axel walked along the corridor, glancing about every so often. Lexu had buggered off somewhere, probably delaying time to deliver the message. Axel knew Lexu had taken a liking to Skarlia. So this would be tough for him too, even though he didn't know he was leading Skarlia to her death by delivering the message.

Vexa nodded. "You go inside. I need to go and check on Ayla." Vexa still hadn't mentioned to anyone that since she was part of the organisation and the one that had locked Ayla in the cell in the first place she could take her out. But Vexa was the type of person that would only do that if she had orders to. "By the way. I disagree with Kesus. I think you'll do fine as a dad. Ignore him. Completely, he is trying to make you angry, don't let him get to you." She said, staying where she was for now.
Eve watched from her window. What had happened to him to make him change so much? Kesus had never liked Rildax, and Eve understood that. But she didn't know why he would go to the length of purposely trying to make him angry. "Eve?" Herutsu walked into her room. "Kesus is gone." She said quietly. "Rildax was scary. I understand why mum is scared of him when he's like that." "Can I suggest you don't mention that to Rildax? He has enough on his mind without being reminded of Kesus." Herutsu paused. "Like getting your mum back." "If she's still alive by the time you do." Eve mumbled. "Well aren't you a ray of sunshine today?" He said sarcastically.

Rildax nodded and began to walk towards the house. He opened the door and he heard a large thud. He looked behind the door and saw Reno on the floor. He'd been leaning on the door it seemed. Reno leapt to his feet and backed away from the door. Kara smiled at him... then he saw Skarlia. "Back so soon, kid?" He grinned. Skarlia nodded. "Good to be back."
Lexu sighed as he watched the house from a tree. Whatever Axel had meant wasn't going to be anything good. He knew what Axel was like now. He would want revenge. He noted that everyone had gone inside now. He glanced across to a balcony and could just make out a little girl there. That must have be Eve. He pushed some of his red hair from his face and shifted his position. He would have to tell her soon.

Kesus walked slowly toward the dungeons. His eyes fixed on the woman in the corner of the cell. "It's been quite a while, Ayla." He said smoothly. "I wish it had been longer, Kesus." She hissed. Her voice worked quite well as a hiss considering how strained it was. "Aww, come on. Don't be like that Ayla." He suddenly dissapeared and reappeared inside the cell in front of Ayla. "Get away from me." "What are you going to do? You're weak. You can't even move. You're struggling to speak after all." He sniggered, holding her chin in his hand. Ayla jerked out of his grasp. "No reply for once Ayla? How unlike you." He smirked.
"Sorry Herutsu." Eve sighed, her eyes fixed on the town outside. "I miss home, it was natural for it to be this quiet there." "Maybe your mum can take you back there one day." Herutsu told her. "No I can go back there whenever I want." She shrugged. "Then why don't you?" "Because of Yuffie."

Lexu leapt down from the tree and approached the house, spotting Vexa. "Hey," he said. "I have to deliver a message. But... Skarlia's in there, right? But so are Reno and Cloud, and Rildax. I feel... a little uncomfortable with them here. Could you pass on the message?"
Skarlia followed the other three along the corridor and soon they found Skarlia being mauled by Cloud. "Don't ever do that again!" He told her sharply. "Ok, ok!" She promised quickly and he let go. Khali came up behind him. "Hey," she said. "At least you didn't strangle me," Skarlia joked.
"Axel will murder you if he sees you down here," Sarxial came walking down the stairs. She was on cell duty: giving food to the people in the cells, but there weren't that many now. "Or have you been captured yourself?"

Vexa looked at Lexu. "I'm sure you'll survive. I'm sure they won't kill you." Though if he had come a few minutes earlier, he might not believe that. She thought to herself. Her mind casting back to Kesus. "I have to go anyway. Sorry. I'll see you later Lexu." She smiled at him. A rare thing for Vexa, changing her emotionless expression was rare, smiling was rarer. "Goodbye." She nodded to him before black flames swallowed her.
Eve looked over at the door. "I recognise that voice." She said, smiling slightly. "Huh?"Herutsu walked over to the door, opening it, he listened to the voices. He recognised it as well. Eve walked past him and then ran toward the voices. She smiled broadly as she saw Skarlia. "Skarlia!" She cheered. Herutsu caught up to her and smiled at Skarlia. "Hey there." He greeted her.
"Don't be ridiculous." He rolled his eyes at Sarxial. "Later Ayla." He sneered at her, she just scowled in responce. He dissapeared and reappeared outside again. "I'd like to see Axel kill me." Kesus smirked to Sarxial. "Though, Rildax may get there first." He laughed as he exited the dungeon. Ayla looked up in surprise as Kesus mentioned Rildax. She guessed Herutsu must of told him what Kesus had done. She was glad she was in the cell now. If Kesus tried to wind up Rildax, Ayla didn't want to see him lose his temper. She looked back at the floor. Her blue-grey eyes lost any glow that had had earlier.

Skarlia grinned at Eve and Herutsu. "Hey Eve, Herutsu," she smiled. "Wow, nice reception. Glad to see everyone again."
Sarxial pulled some keys from seemingly nowhere and unlocked a small section of Ayla's door. She pushed through a plate with bread and cheese on. She locked the panel again and, glancing briefly at Ayla, continued along past the cells, the keys disappearing again.
Lexu's gaze turned to the floor, before moving sideways to the house. He sighed and approached the door, knocking loudly. "Who is it?" Reno asked as Kara looked through the window. She didn't reply, but her eyes narrowed. She opened the door and gaze at Lexu's handsome face. "Hello," he said quietly. "I... I have a message from Axel. To Skarlia." Kara was about to respond when Reno spotted Lexu. He approached the door, his eyes fixing on Lexu's. It was true: their eyes were identical. "Kara, this is your son," Reno said, leaning against the doorframe. "Our son." Kara's eyes widened as she quickly glanced between Reno and Lexu. "...Elu?" She asked. Lexu looked between Reno and Kara. He was a little taken aback when Kara was suddenly hugging him tightly. "I... I thought you were dead..." Lexu glanced at Reno with confusion. "...I need to deliver this message..." he said slowly. Kara let go of Lexu and backed to where she had been standing. Lexu walked past and Skarlia caught sight of him. Reno put a hand on Kara's shoulder. She looked at him. "He'll come round. He's got no memory, I think. Give him some time." Kara nodded sadly and closed the door. Lexu was reciting the message to Skarlia. "What?" She finally said. Lexu shrugged obliviously. "I don't know, I don't often ask Axel to explain." Skarlia's eyes were to the ground. "Elu..." Kara said as she approached, but he disappeared in black flames.
